Meeting new OB today.

Just a little funny. I woke up early today & was getting ready for the day. I was drying my hair (which I hardly ever do) & styling it so that it looks decent. DH asked why I was getting so gussied up and I told him that I was meeting the OB today for the first time and
1. first impressions are important,
2. this is probably the best I'll look for the next 5 months and finally
3. this person will be looking at my neither-regions for the next 5 months and seeing parts that he doesn't even know about. tongue.gif

He looked at me like I was insane. LOL

I guess it's a little like brushing your teeth before going to see the dentist. blush.gif

amynicole21 replied: LOL! You are too funny. My DH would have said, "why are you doing your hair, that's NOT what the doctor is going to be looking at" rolling_smile.gif

Good luck, keep us posted, and catch these ~*~*~ OLV vibes ~*~*~ coming your way!

jem0622 replied: Good luck! I don't blame you for making yourself look decent for a first visit!

jdkjd replied: That reminds me of an email I got a while ago about a woman who used her washcloth (which her daughter had used to clean up) to freshen up her nether regions and ended up going to the GYN with sparkles down there.

I figure as long as there aren't sparkles you're still on the sane side of the line. biggrin.gif

coasterqueen replied: I was going to say what Jenn said! rolling_smile.gif

Last Friday when I had to have that unexpected u/s we were in the room and waiting for the doc to come in. I had no clothes on from waist down and had that little paper cloth covering me up. I mentioned to DH that I didn't have a chance to shave my legs or anything. He looked at me and said "well, I hope you at least put some sparkles on". rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

We both had seen that email joke.

Good luck with your appointment and sending you ~open leg vibes~ Drink some OJ wink.gif.

OK, the ob was nice & the practice was very clean and pretty.
We went over my history, reviewed my previous records etc. I asked when I would be getting another U/S & she said that they dont' do them afer 20 wks unless there's a reason. ohmy.gif
I told her that we still dont know the sex and are really really curious. She said that isn't a good reason but she said she will request that I get one at my next appt in two weeks. So, if this kid isn't giving up the goods at my next appt, it will be a suprise. sad.gif

coasterqueen replied: Oh that just really stinks! I know when I had my u/s with Kylie she wasn't cooperating so they gave me one more chance too the next two weeks. Thankfully she did that time, but I would have been in the same boat.

MomToMany replied: sad.gif Awww man!! What a bummer!! I'm glad that the OB was nice for you though.

thumb.gif I hope you find out next time....

amynicole21 replied: That stinks! My insurance actually does that, too mad.gif You could always pay to get a 3-D u/s done if that one doesn't work out. I think it's around $150 a session. Go to 4D Ultrasound page to find one nearest you - here's the closest from what I can tell:

A&A'smommy replied: awww man that sucks!!! I hope they give you one and I hope your little one shows him or herself to you! Are you hoping for a girl or a boy, or do you care?

jdkjd replied:
Ooooo. Do that!! I was dying to get one with Kiera but the closest one was in Panama City...

Kaitlin'smom replied: well I am glad you had a good appointments, sorry about the U/S I really only had one but had to go back since they missed some measurements, thankfully she was not shy the first time smile.gif deffinalty to remember to drink something sweet so the baby should be moving and they have a better chance to see.
