Mckaylee is sick

mckayleesmom wrote: Bla....Last night she was eating some toast and she threw up. I didn't think anything of it because I thought she had choked on her toast and threw up. This morning at 4a.m I heard her crying and I noticed she had throw up in her crib. So I took her sheets off, put new ones on ..wiped her down and back to sleep she went. Then Just about 20 minutes ago I heard her coughing...I went in her room and she wasn't coughing..she was throwing up...she was drenched in it. My poor baby. So off to the bath we went...then I noticed she was running a fever...so she is now watching Rainbow Fish and drinking water and tylonol. Besides a small cold last month..she has never been sick. I only breastfed for 2 months before my milk dried up like the California drought...so Im glad she made it this far...had to happen sometime. I haven't called her ped yet cause she is still in her regular mood...getting into everything ...right now she is eating pizza crust from daddy plate last night.

MilMunchMOM replied: Oh Noooo! Poor baby AND poor mommy..KAri and i just went through it too. Ice Chips with a little bit of ginger ale and/or pedialyte on them is what kept her from dehydration.

amynicole21 replied: Poor Mckaylee!! Sophia just returned to school today after suffering from the same bug. She had vomiting, fever and diarrhea for about 3 days This is a nasty bug. I hope she feels better soon!

mckayleesmom replied: Thanks guys....She is feeling a little better. She is keeping alot more liquids down and I have been giving her pedialite...she throws up the milk more then the pedialite. Last night I went in to check her temp after she went to bed and she had thrown up again...so I woke her up and gave her a bath..this morning she had thrown up a tiny bit of pedialite,,,but she missed herself so I didn't have to bath her again....which was nice...she had 6 baths yesterday. Im going to see if I can get her to eat some cherrios when she wakes up.
