MyBabeMaddie wrote: Has anyone not waited the 6 weeks/not gotten the okay yet from their Dr. after giving birth to DTD with their SO?

mom21kid2dogs replied: I don't know anyone who DID wait the 6 weeks, personally blush.gif

J-rod replied: many people do....but the chance of getting preggo again is high

Boo&BugsMom replied: I waited. There was no way I was taking any chances...not with being such a fertile myrtle and the hubby having super sperm! Again...we need that super sperm smilie!!! laugh.gif

skinkybaby replied:

dito.gif We weren't taking ANY chances

J-rod replied: we arent either....considering it only took one try to get Kyan......not ready to have two kids under 1yr apart.

Brias3 replied: The only baby I waited after was Mason because of the c-section.

C&K*s Mommie replied: somewhat did with our first- we waited 5 wks smile.gif
with our second it was 14days rolling_smile.gif

PrairieMom replied:
I did. I could have gone longer. My Dr said " you are good to go, but you can tell your husband what ever you want." laugh.gif

TheOaf66 replied:
somehow I am not shocked by that laugh.gif

TANNER'S MOM replied: Waited with the first one.. with the rest.. I didn't . BUt I did wait until the PP bleedign stopped.

mckayleesmom replied: I didn't....I didn't even wait 2 weeks with either of them, but I had 2 c-sections...Im sure I would have if they came out the other way. laugh.gif

BAC'sMom replied: That was the last thing on my mind I could have waiting 6 months. But I didn't wink.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Nope, didn't wait with either one. biggrin.gif

my2monkeyboys replied: I didn't even THINK about doing that... I was too tired, overwhelmed and crazy feeling for that to even cross my mind. I did give in (actually, pretended I had been wanting to the whole time to make my dh feel better) right about the 6 week mark. I had a c-section, so I don't know if it would have been different the other way.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I bled for 6 weeks so I pretty much had to wait, but I was tired and really sore, so we would have waited anyways ~ I didn't feel ready until about 8 weeks PP. wink.gif

ZandersMama replied: We waited lol, and i didn't mind waiting rolling_smile.gif I had an episiotamy and tears, he wasn't even gettin close!

PrairieMom replied:

hawkshoe replied: I used a midwife and she did not give me a 6 week time frame. She basically said when I was ready go for it. I think we waited a week smile.gif

amynicole21 replied: You mean you're supposed to start back up after the baby is born?? huh.gif rolling_smile.gif

Our Lil' Family replied:
Same here, we didn't wait. I think due to bf'ing I was the one requesting it!

AlexsPajamaMama replied: We waited 4 or 5 weeks only because I was really sore

C&K*s Mommie replied: laugh.gif laugh.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied:

Nina J replied: I didn't wait either.

mom2my2cuties replied: I waited...But mostly because with both of the kids, i had absolutely NO bleeding during delivery or afterwards & both the doctors were concerned about it.

Although, I will admit, it wasn't that easy to wait. Which is why most people don't.

Cece00 replied: I waited 2 wks with my 2 older boys, less than 2 weeks with my daughter...I had csections.

My3LilMonkeys replied: We waited about 5 wks with Brooke (I had an episiotomy that was pretty big/sore) and about 3 with Madison.

msoulz replied: After foreceps and 45 minutes of stitching, there was NO WAY he was getting anywhere near me until after my 6 week check up!

ashtonsmama replied:
Hot to trot, eh Nic?
rolling_smile.gif

Adrienne522 replied: We waited 2 weeks. I know that is terrible. I couldn't help it. I did have a c-section. Then, a couple weeks later again we did it. My doctor gave me a pregnancy test at my 6 week appointment and it was negative. She told me that it was ok that I did not wait the 6 weeks because I did heal fast. biggrin.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: I tore and have stitches, and that is the LAST thing on my mind. THe last thing that took place down there was rather TRAUMATIC , and now Im scared ... lol! Plus, the thought of getting PG again makes me NEVER WANT TO DO IT without a condom < i got pg on bc!!!

But if you are ready GO FOR IT! I know Sal would be SUPER PSYCHED if I said I wanted to ... lol!!!

holley79 replied:
Isn't that the truth. I waited because I didn't want to take any chances either. wacko.gif I don't think I could handle being pregnant right now. Kudos to those that can raise/ make babies. You are the bomb, not me I'm a wimp.

PrairieMom replied:
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! sh.gif
Don't tell my DH! noooooo.gif

mom2my2cuties replied:

Mine is wondering this lately too!!!! Poor guy has been sleeping on the couch for 6 weeks now thanks to Andrea - she is the queen of kicking him out of bed.

That was the best excuse I ever had to not DTD, I wasn't tossing it out early emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif

luvmykids replied:
And you are how far along with number 2, Amanda? rolling_smile.gif

j/k hug.gif hug.gif

moped replied:
I hear ya sista!

rolling_smile.gif

Bamamom replied: We waited - I had a stage 3 episiotomy(sp?). He wasn't getting anywhere near that. I love my dr advice on the 1st time though - "She needs to be in control - She needs to be on top" It got even more graphic than that - KY was mentioned several times. You should have seen DH rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif
