Married to a Firefighter maybe

I'm really proud of him, and think he would do great. He has been wanting to join for a couple years now.

The other day, Kaitlynn's bus driver asked Rob if he would like to join. So last Monday he went to one of the meetings. They have to vote you on board also. But I'm sure will get voted on. They really need some new people.


My grandparents don't seem to excited about him joining though. My grandma was like why don't he just get another job that pays if he wants another job. My grandpa said that he needed to stay home and help me raise the girls.

Yes, he is gone alot as it is. But I don't think it is going be anymore then he already is. Sure he has been gone during the evenings during the week, or gone fishing during a Saturday and not got back till late. He somtimes goes to his friends garage and helps out his friend.

I've gotten kinda use to him being gone a lot now.

Don't get me wrong sometimes I wish he was home more. But he really likes to help people out or go fishing.

I know he would not stop me from doing something I wanted to do. So why should I stop him?

C&K*s Mommie replied: WTG for him, for pursuing his passion and not listenining to any naysayers. I have respect for him, to want to help others out at a critical time of need, and not get anything in return. Even if he were a paid firefighter, I do not think he (or any other firefighter for that matter) would get what he would deserve for putting his life on the line for a stranger. Kudos to him.

Kaitlin'smom replied: thats GREAT. I am excited for him. My dad is a retired firefighter/paramedic, sister is an EMT, and the sitters DH is a volly firefighter. Its all around me. Its a great thing sure the training is HARD but in the end its very rewarding.

my uncle was a fire fighter but is now the fire cheif of Leduc..a small town in alberta:)I remeber as a little girl i loved hanging out with him. He was my fav uncle!

I'm really excited for him also, since this has been a thing he has been wanting to do.
