Marcus marcus Marcus!
mummy2girls wrote: Yes I know it was an accident but it was an accident I cant afford right now. We arrived home and Marcus had opened the passenger side door he was sitting on. The wind was viscious so im telling him to hold onto the door because if the wind blows hard enough it will hit the car next to us. But he just looks at me like im drunk and then boom a gust of air and yes the door hits the other car and left a nice nasty dent and stratch! DOH! Now yes I do have 500 in the bank left from my last paycheque but i still have to do my taxes still which will cost at least 150 and then other stuff too... ... I know i must sound liek a B*&^% but man was I not impressed. Mostly due to teh fact im telling him to hold onto the door and he thinks im hallucinating!
Calimama replied: Isn't he going to pay for it? I'm sorry hun.
ZandersMama replied: That sucks. But.........he did it, shouldn't he pay for it?
luvmykids replied: I guess I'm used to men not listening Did he even offer to pay for it? I'm sorry
sparkys2boys replied: aww, so sorry that had to happen.. men men men..lol!! maybe he will pay to get it fixed for you??
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Shelly - parking lots are private properties. The "rules of the road" aren't really enforceable...they don't really apply. And it's a he-said-she-said scenario, if you parked somewhere else, nobody will be the wiser.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I'm sorry this happend, but I agree with everyone else he should at least pay for the damages.
redchief replied: Remind me not to park next to Rocky.
CantWait replied: I agree. If there's paint scrapes, take a magic eraser to it. If your car is scraped, maybe just take it into the car shop to have some touch up paint so that it doesn't rust.
Cece00 replied: I dont agree with this because its very unethical and not honest. It should be taken care of- by MARCUS. His fault. He should, at the least, offer to pay for it. That would be the honorable thing to do.
lovemykiddies replied: So sorry this happened! Honestly, I would be shocked if Marcus didn't pay! I mean, he did it, right? I also agree that trying to "cover up" the situation would be wrong. The guilt would eat me alive! Maybe the previous posters were joking, but if not, I really don't think dishonesty is the right decision. I think that would make things worse! Good luck!
Calimama replied: I agree. How would you feel if it was your car that was hit?
CantWait replied: I'm not joking. And I have got a few dings on the cars from doors being opened. It sucks, but it happens all the time and no I don't like it, but truthfully, if you take your car in to the dealership for oil change whatever, they usually will touch it up free of charge. If not, it's really not a big deal.
Calimama replied: Oh, I assumed it was like a dent with a scratch and stuff, not just a little ding. Yeah my dealership will take care of ding's for free if you're getting work done. It's supposed to part of the "customer service plan" they offer.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yeah, I assumed it was a ding....something that gets fixed for free.
A noticeable dent or big scratch, yes, I'd have left a paper with my name and number etc on it.
I might be a Bee with an Itch, but even I am not THAT bad.
lisar replied: I agree.
Twelve Volt Man replied: There's really no reason why you should have to pay for anything. This was not a motor vehicle accident, so the fact that the damage was done by your door is irrelevant. It would be no different than if he had bumped into your neighbor's car while pushing a stroller you owned. No crime was committed, as it was unintentional. The decent thing to do, in my opinion, is for him to take care of fixing the neighbor's car, or offering to give the neighbor an acceptable amount of money. Either way, I think it's pretty crappy if you get stuck having to cover it.
A&A'smommy replied: I agree with what the others said he should be the one to pay for it!!!
