Man does Kylie sound AWFUL

luvmykids wrote: I don't know what to do for her, she has a croupy sounding cough but her breathing is kind of ragged in between, she's incredibly hoarse, and when she talks she hardly has a voice left. I'm doing a humidifier, the neb, honey and lemon...any other ideas? Poor thing, she is so absolutely miserable bawling.gif

Momof3inMe replied: Emily and Carter both have had this. I did all the things you are doing and it didn't help much. It took them both about 4 or 5 days to get better. I also pushed the water and juice more then the milk stuff.

luvmykids replied:
Did you keep Carter home from school the whole time? She stayed home today, and probably will again tomorrow.

momofone replied: When my little one was recently sick I put vicks of the bottom of her feet at night. It helps clear congestion. Sounds weird but it works. happy.gif

3xsthefun replied: Sorry I don't have any other ideas. Except maybe putting some Vicks on her chest.
I hope she feels better soon. hug.gif

Momof3inMe replied:
He was out Wednesday Thursday and Friday last week. One thing that did help was breathing in the cold air from outside.

kimmylyn replied: I think you are doing everything you can. My son Donnie had the same thing for about five days. It is terrible. I hope she gets better soon.

DillsMommy replied: Hope she feels better soon! hug.gif

luvmykids replied: Now she has spiked a fever and is just completely miserable...I made her some jello thinking the coolness would feel good on her throat so as soon as it sets up we'll do that. The neb helped, I think we'll need to be aggressive with it though and do it every four hours.

These little ones are just so pitiful when they are sick bawling.gif

lovemy2 replied: So much stuff going around - poor thing - what did you ever find out about Macie too? Goodness at this rate you will all be sick by Friday sad.gif

Hang in there and KUP hug.gif hug.gif

DillsMommy replied: I know this sounds strange but it really works-- this passed weekend Dylan had a fever that would NOT go below 101 and I tried everything. Tom got online and found something about putting egg whites on the soles of their feet to bring down the fever. So we tried it and within 20 mins. his fever broke. Crazy I know. You just soak towels/washcloths in egg whites and wrap it around the feet. You can put socks on too, but we didn't. Just thought I would let you know. I was willing to try anything to get his temp.down.

luvmykids replied:
That is crazy, but TBH I heard of it and am soooo happy to know someone who actually tried it laugh.gif I may give it a shot tomorrow...she is sleeping and I don't want to wake her up.

Macie has an appt at 4:45 tomorrow...but I'm going to try again in the am and see if there have been any cancellations.
