Man Dh made me mad - And it is so silly

TANNER'S MOM wrote: Ok, I never get new clothes. I make my clothes last and last. Well this weekend I got a new outfit. It was cute and fashionable. I even bought matching earrings. Dh commented on how nice it was, and the kids said wooooooooo when I walked out of the bedroom in it..

I wore it to work on Monday, and Dh was home last night and did laundry. And completley ruined my brand new CUTE shirt. I was upset that I cried and cried.

He said he was sorry, but still. I was so upset. We don't really have extra money for new clothes, this week I paid off a 725.00 bill, and house payment is due again before he gets paid.

I think what made me so sad was we are going out on Saturday night to celebrate Dh's Bday and I wanted to wear that so bad..now nothing.

I am crying again just thinking about it!

PS.
DH has been told and told not to wash my clothes. That I appreciate the effort but to only do his and the kids clothes and he usually does this..

Oh nooooooooooooo!! grouphug.gif Oh, I could just cry with you. I HATE it when things like that happen. I'm the same way about clothes... I seldom buy anything new for myself, and I've wrecked my share of new things. Oooo, and I've had dry cleaners wreck them too.

You know, I don't think it's the thing itself... it's the fact that you did something nice for yourself - the outfit stood for something more than just clothing - and that's why we get so upset when essentially, it's taken away from us.

Oh dear, I do hope your day improves!

mammag replied: Oh, I'm so sorry! I would be crying also. grouphug.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: oh that stinks and exactually why my DH is not allowed to wash my clothes. Can you go get another shirt? I am so sorry. I dont get new clothes very often either and I usually find the bargains when I do, so i can never replace them. Hope your day gets better

A&A'smommy replied: okay its NOT silly I would be upset too heck I HATED it when my mother washed my clothes because something usually got ruined bawling.gif
I'm so sorry I wish I could could go get you a new one (and me too)! ((((HUGS)))

Boys r us replied: Ohhh NO!! That's not silly at all! I would be mad too!!!

Okay..this is going to sound really ghetto..haaaa...but since you don't have the money to buy a new outfit, why don't you borrow one? and from who you ask? well THE STORE OF COURSE, I mean after all..they always have an outfit that looks smashing and fits perfectly on you, right..then take it back the next day!

No..I'm not an advocate of doing this..but I will admit to doing this once when I was in college!

A&A'smommy replied:
I have always wanted to do that! tongue.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
I have thoguth about doing that with evening dresses, but my luck I would spill something on it and have to pay for it anyway.....so I have never gotten the nerve

My2Beauties replied: I am so sorry that happened, I would be upset too! Just when you went and did somethng for yourself for a change, this has to happen! I'm sorry hon! sad.gif

Boys r us replied:
That's what I did it with..I was a single mom, waiting tables to support Tanner and I and going to school full time..BROKE, but trying to stand on my own two feet and not get money from my parents to make it. Well, the restaurant that I worked at had a formal christmas party and I certainly didn't have a couple hundred bucks to spend on a formal dress...so, I bought a dress the night of, wore it, took it back the next day. No questions asked. Bad I know..but what do ya do..

mom21kid2dogs replied: grouphug.gif So sorry! Can you describe the problem? Someone *might* have a solution. (Unless he just shrunk it or some boneheaded thing like that!!)

TANNER'S MOM replied:
He really SHRUNK it will fit TANNER!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I get upset over stuff like that, too. sad.gif I'm sorry that happened. I hope you are able to replace it.
