Lunch Box Items?? - Need some Help...

MilMunchMOM wrote: with ideas for Sean's lunch.
He usually gets: ravoli's (no sauce), turkey sandwich, yogurt, apples, bannannas, apple sauce.
Atypical lunch for him is....1/2 turkey sandwich on any kind of bread, yogurt squeezer and apple juice. or raviolis, apple sauce and juice.

Thats it!!! He does not like peanut butter, ham, (he likes soup, but it is hard for him to handle at school (messy).
I have no ideas!!!!

I can't get him to try Hommus, but i think he would like that with crackers.

oh yea!! needs to be on the healthy side..no bologna or salami kind of things. He goes to a Montissori school and we are trying to comply with the request of no junk.

MilMunchMOM replied: wow thanks!!! those are some great ideas. Where can i get fruit leather?

CantWait replied: I think it was pretty much covered. I have a hard time packing Robbie's lunches cause there's no peanut or peanut products allowed, including traces of........Do you have that problem at Sean's school at all?

CantWait replied: Oh and I think the friut leather jcc might be talking about is "Real Fruit", that's what it goes by here. It's in grocery stores.

kimberley replied:
i totally have that problem! james loves those chocolate granola bars so i would always send one as part of his snack til one day it got returned with a note saying he can't bring them anymore because the label read "may have been in contact with peanuts". the boys don't like peanut products anyways but i just never thought to check the label of a granola bar.

jcc64 replied: Fruit leather can be found in health food stores or in the natural foods sections of most supermarkets. They come in different flavors and cost about 30 cents a piece.

MilMunchMOM replied:
no...they do allow it he just doesn't like it. He won't even eat candy with p'nut butter in it.
I never heard of a kid that didn't like p'nut butter before mine. LOL
My kids don't like Jello either?!?!?! blink.gif

MilMunchMOM replied:
do you mean like those fruit by the foot or fruit roll ups??

CantWait replied: nope that's all fake, this is the real deal.

MilMunchMOM replied: Found 'em...I love them but sean?!? He said "eeeewwwww" I can't figure him out when it comes to food. i'll just keep trying things.
