Lord, give strength! - I may need it

We all (me, lacy, her BF) go up to the hospital and she gets hooked up to the monitors.
They did those paper swipes and it detects no amniotic fluid. She got a cervical check and no progress since yesterday.
Her contractions start. They were coming 5 - 7 minutes apart and were pretty painful to her (for abot 4 hours)

Right in middle of that..... somehow it got brought up in converstation who she did want up there and who she didn't. (There are some family members that she really doesnt want up there at all for good reason IMHO)

Immediately, her BF pipes up.... Here's the conversation.

BF: Yeah, I told Lacy that I would kick anyone outta here who she didn't want. (ETA: he also said stuff like "I have no problem telling anyone to get the "F" out of here if that's what she wanted")
ME: Oh.
BF: Even you guys (me and DH) if Lacy didn't want you here.
ME: Oh... hmmm
LACY: Bill, shut up.
BF: Yep, but you guys have been pretty supportive throughout this pregnancy. But, if I had to .... I'd try and be polite about it.
LACY: Bill, quit it!
ME: Hmmmmm (trying to keep my cool & giving Lacy 'the look')
BF: Well, I'm just saying......
LACY: Why are you saying this crap, knock it off.
Me: Well, I can't imagine Lacy NOT wanting me here, so this conversation is stupid.
Lacy: Yeah Bill
Me: Hey Bill, wonder if you'd say that if Lacy's dad was here.

BF then shuts up.

OK, ends up. Her contractions subsided a bit, so they had her go home and wait it out.
I really need strength you guys. There was no need or reason for him to say that crap. I've been going OUT OF MY WAY to be supportive and keep my mouth shut during those time I've wanted to tell him to take a one way trip to ^&*%$#!

I am thinking he is trying to be on some power trip or something

Glad Lacy trys to shut him up when he gets out of control, sounds like a power trip to me too. He needs to grow up and stop trying to act so tough!!

I know that sounds a little wierd, but that is the way it sounded in the post. I can't believe he said that though, I am really sorry he is putting you through that!

On a happier note! YIPPEE for the new niece/nephew! And yeah for your sister standing up to his stupidity!

I'm sorry, Barb. He really is an idiot and you should pay no attention to what he says. I'm glad Lacy has a mind to stick up for you, especially considering how supportive you have been. I hope she leaves this loser on the side of the road.

Many ~*~*ELV's~*~* for Lacy. And less stress on top of the labor, coming from the way of her bf . That was neither the time nor the place for that nonsense talk.

Yeah, she is my daughter.... her BF is what some people would call a moron.

OMG, he made some of the most assanine (sp?) remarks up there. I was sooooo embarrassed. He was talking to the dr about when babies are born. The Dr said that alot of firsttime moms go after their due date.... BFs reply "Is that your hypothesis or what?" He actually said those exact words. The Dr just stared at him!

Oh well, I will focus on Lacy during her L & D. Thanks again.
