Look what I did...

MomToMany wrote: I made some "improvements" to my prefold diapers. First I dyed them a light aqua and a light pink, then added some cute print material down the middle. I also made a matching doubler to go with it.

coasterqueen replied: Aww those are so cute!!!! Wish I could do something like that. tongue.gif I'm not sure I know what a sewing machine looks like, lol. Just kidding wink.gif But don't know how to use one.

MomToMany replied:
I'm not talented at all. These were super easy to make! If you want to see talent, you should watch my mom sew! She's awesome!! I wish I had her talent!!

I plan on doing more; just don't have enough time right now. It's hard to find time when all the kids are being good and no one is crying, LOL!

ediep replied: nice job! Very stylish!!

A&A'smommy replied: cool!! Those are really pretty NEXT baby I'm doing cloth diapers!! They sound MUCH healthier for them anyway biggrin.gif

MomToMany replied:
Yes, they are better for baby (and the environment). And they are so much fun to use! Makes an unpleasant job much more bearable, that's for sure!

thelittlemac replied: The cloth diapers look great, I've considered using them before but am afraid of cleaning them. Any advice? How cost effective are they? Do they give the baby a rash when they sit in them?

Kaitlin'smom replied: thoes are great thumb.gif

MomToMany replied:
Cloth is great! Nothing compares to it!

They are very cost effective, especially if you use them on more than one child. It's like diapering future children for free! Washing them is so easy. Most people think it must be really hard, but it's not! I just put all of the diapers, covers, and wipes in the washing machine. Then I do a cold rinse, then a hot wash, and another cold rinse. I only use 1/3 of the detergent I would normally use. Then everything goes in the dsryer except the covers. They should be hung, or laid out to dry.

We don't have any rashes with cloth. It's great!

Let me know if you want any more info. I can get more if you want thumb.gif .

MommyToAshley replied: wub.gif Those are really cute! I like the pink one with the little flowers, so girly! wub.gif You really have a talent there, you should consider going into business for yourself. thumb.gif

MomToMany replied:
blush.gif Thanks for the compliment, but they don't look that good up close. You would see some flaws right away. But, they are only diapers, so it doesn't matter. I'd like to have my own business some day, but I don't know when that would happen wink.gif .

kit_kats_mom replied:
Maybe Schnoogly would let you sell some of your stuff through her biz? Or maybe you could just help her sew her goods. From what I understand, her business is taking off. I'd email her if I were you. It may be a good way to make a few bucks doing something that you love and believe in.

kelly replied: i have no idea what im doing here so i apologies that i dont have pretty pictures and stuff but i did want to say what a good idea for more cosmetically pleasing diapers another thought for clothe nappies is to tie dye them they look fantastic

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I made Ethan a bunch of diapers like this before he was born (that I use for burpcloths). They are so cute and very handy. You did a great job!! thumb.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: thumb.gif Good Job! They look GREAT! thumb.gif
