Loneliness Poll

cameragirl21 replied: Actually, what brought on this poll is this morning I was doing some work with people that I usually enjoy working with but out of nowhere, I suddenly felt lonely, like I was alone even though I had tons of people around me. As an only child, I am almost never lonely and in fact tend to enjoy my own company a lot even though I am very extroverted. I'm not used to feeling lonely so I don't know where that feeling came from but I thought it might be an interesting question to pose to this group.
I voted occasionally because even though I am very seldom lonely, I was today when I was around other people. Very strange.

kimberley replied: it's funny, i rarely feel lonely when i am actually alone. it's when there is a rift in my relationship i feel the loneliest. he could be right beside me, yet i feel more alone.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I have been lonely a lot in the last 4 years since we moved here. We only live 22 miles from the town where we used to live and where all our friends live, but with gas prices it's still too far. I like to have some alone time, but I'm a person that likes to be around my friends a lot. I around town with the kids and see my neighbors and talk to the ladies that work at the grocery store and library and all that, but it's just not the same. I miss hanging out with Jennifer on weekday mornings.

It's rare for me but I am rarely alone. When I am alone it takes a day or so to get lonely.

I have to say that I used to get lonely at night for DH's company b/c he was working so late and I just missed him. Luckily that's not the case anymore.
