Yeah I love it here. It's a bit cold in the winters though but if you live near boise it clears off pretty quickly. It's soo rural though - I mean you have to expect people to treat you (where I live) like tehy've known you their whole life. That's our town in a nutshell.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yeah, I would have to say the weather is pretty mild here. But I do like to have sunshine so that I can get out with Wil more often. My mother is coming to visit this Thursday and I can't wait to show her how beautiful Pikes Peak is. How long have you lived here? Sorry if I sound like I'm haunting you now that I know you live in the same town. I'm sure it's the last thing you want when you come to these boards. It's just exciting because most people are all over the world. Never thought anyone would be from this little town. Okay it's not so little, but you know what I mean. Like I said, we moved here in December from Denver. Moved to Denver in 2000 from Santa Barbara, California. My DH used to live in Breck for awhile after college, so this is why we're in Colorado.

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: We moved to the Springs in July so like 9 months now. Both dh and I were born and raised in Southern CA (we met in H.S. in Orange County) but loved Colorado. We had come out here last March (when Matt was 2 months ) and just for fun were looking arround in some of the model homes. We fell inlove wih one and before we knew it we had signed the papers....That was when we got to hurry home, he needed to find a job here, we needed to sell ou house there. It was abot 3.5-4 months later we lived here.
My sister lives about a mile away (for 1 more week, then she's moving to Monument) and my parents are out past the black forrest about 20 minutes away.
Which side of town do you live in? We are North East and it seems to have the best weather my parents are farther north and get heaps of snow, then it stays on the ground. Downtown and South I am told seem to get colder and a lot more rain.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier! I'm in NE too! We live right behind the Y off of Austin Bluffs and Family. I grew up in Santa Barbara, so CA too! My DH and I met in SB. We both were going to city college there and then I went to CSUN and he went to a small school in Burbank. Like I said, he then moved to Breck after grad and I of course followed. We weren't even dating yet, but we knew we liked each other for a long time. And thank god I finally made the move! So then it was back to SB for awhile and then we moved to Denver in 2000. Then he got a new job in the springs, so here we are! You're lucky you have family here. Both my parents and in-laws are in SB. Nice place to visit though! But woooo too expensive!
