Ladies...what are you getting your hubby for V-day

coasterqueen wrote: I've been thinking for WEEKS and can't come up with anything real original to get Dh for V-day. We usually don't celebrate it, but this year I'd really like to. I'd like to get him something small to let him know just how much I love him.

Ok, so spill your ideas so I can steal one. tongue.gif laugh.gif

sparkys2boys replied: I have no clue yet. We don't usually do a whole lot either but I would like to this year but am with you on stealing other peoples idea's..lol

Our Lil' Family replied: A heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's....that's about it.
We're going to dinner with friends on Saturday, so we're not doing much next week. Plus on Valentine's night Thomas and I have practice at church for our Easter Drama.

mckayleesmom replied: I don't know...I was planning to steal your ideas.... laugh.gif

mommy~to~a~bunch replied: I'll probably let him order that gun he's been talking so much about rolleyes.gif .

Kaitlin'smom replied: dunno his birthday is the day before....so no ideas yet on either. deffianlty a card though

booey2 replied: I usually don't do that much for him. Usually get him a nice card and maybe some sweets for his sweet tooth and a nice steak dinner. However this Valentines day he will be running Matt's hockey practice so I may suggest he just pick up a pizza and we make a family night out of it. Not even sure if we will share some bubbly or not. We traditionally don't do that much, he is the one who is the one to treat me, that is his idea not mine. LOL

grandma replied: We have agreed to just go out to dinner at a nice resturant.
But a nice husband gift for my husband would be gift certificates from Home Depot or the Harley Store.....

luvbug00 replied: Lars lothes vday, but i don't care. this year i am..

getting him a dozen roses
making him a nice dinner
taking a bath together
buying him a little treat
and a teddy bear ( or as he prefers a stuffed penguin)

lisar replied: NOTHING we have decided that we arent buying anything each other this year.

Danalana replied: Well, Richard has yet to remember a valentine's day since we have been together dry.gif
I'm thinking of trying to give him a baby emlaugh.gif It's my mother's b-day, as well, so she would love it.

My2Beauties replied: DH really needs a new cell phone badly. We go through the same carrier, he tried to get one but he isn't eligible for an upgrade and the prices are ridiculous. My phone is fine and I've had it a while so I'm thinking I might be eligible for one, so I'm going to see if I am and if so if I can get it for him and have it registered under his phone #. If that doesn't work out, I have no earthly idea what to get the man! sad.gif

A&A'smommy replied: well I normally don't get him anything and he ALWAYS gets me something dry.gif even when I specifically tell him not to.. last week he got me a new cell phone a pink one tongue.gif we are going to eat a local restaurant... sorry I'm no help tongue.gif

Crystalina replied:
I had the same idea but his is over $500! dry.gif

We never really do anything. We always just say Happy VDay and we're done. We know we love each other. We don't need chocolate or flowers or anything like that. happy.gif

Danalana replied: You can send the chocolate and flowers to me! Especially the chocolate.

CantWait replied: We never do anything. I never get anything unless he's overseas, and then he sends me flowers.

I just got him a small box of chocolate.

We're going out to dinner next Saturday to celebrate my birthday, Valentine's, and his hush hush promotion.

sparkys2boys replied:
What promotion?? Did I miss something??

3xsthefun replied: I don't know yet. We usually don't do much for Valentines Day. I might just make him a nice dinner.

mckayleesmom replied: You guys aren't helping me any.... rolling_smile.gif

Calimama replied: I sent DH a box that had pink and red wrapping paper inside, with Valentines day garland (yea they make that) and a bunch of candy, and cut out hearts with love notes. I also sent him a red polo, one of those stainless steel coffee mugs that has Miabella's picture in it, a bunch of candy bags for his friends, a heart shaped chocolate box, a pillow case sprayed with my perfume, and a bunch of other smaller stuff. He got it already though and didn't wait until the 14th to open it. rolleyes.gif

grapfruit replied:
Do you have "SIM" cards or something? I can pull my card out of my phone and stick it in another ATT phone and use it under my name. If that's the case you can just pick one out and pull his card out of his old phone and put it in his new phone! smile.gif

Oh and I can't post my "present" in this forum.... laugh.gif

Calimama replied:
Then go post it in the other one!! rolling_smile.gif

austins mom replied: I have no clue and I need all the help I can get also. Its my 7th anniversary. And we try to stick to the traditional gifts. And this year its wool or copper.

Cece00 replied: We're going to be in Memphis, and go out to dinner & well, we're going to be without kids for a week so we're considering that a "gift" to each other....time without kiddos, out to dinner & going out with friends while in Memphis.

moped replied: We don't really do gifts for V day, but I got him some red popcorn - tongue.gif

stella6979 replied: Jeff and I both think that V-day is such a crock!! We do nice things for eachother ALL THE TIME and refuse to even acknowledge it as any other day.
However, I love what you did Denise! The pillow case with your perfume is such a nice way for him to have you close even though you're so far away. What a GREAT idea!!!! wub.gif

Our Lil' Family replied:
LOVE that idea!

Calimama replied:
Thank you! I stole the idea from a website. ph34r.gif laugh.gif

Brias3 replied: We don't really do Valentine's Day gifts. Occasionally, he's gotten me jewelry as a surprise, but typically cards and a box of chocolates is about the extent of our exchange.

We'll likely try to go out for dinner together too next weekend sometime- this weekend, we have family visiting.

HuskerMom replied:
What a good idea! And you've put so much work into it in the last 9 months almost! tongue.gif

I got Dh a dog that sings Ring of Fire since he likes Johnny Cash so much.

kimberley replied: sorry if this is repetitive as i didn't read the other replies but i know the only gifts most guys want are electronics or nudity lol

give him the "adult" evening he won't forget happy.gif

booey2 replied:
That sounds like a gift my DH would really appreciate. Especially with all the added stress we have had around here. Thanks for the idea Kimberley. wink.gif

choochoo replied: I was thinking about some high thread-count sheets. That would be our gift together, I think, 'cuz those sheets are expensive! blink.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: A card and me in a cute pink sleep-thing that I got at Old Navy today! tongue.gif Maybe we will go to a nice dinner too. wink.gif

luvmykids replied: We don't usually do V-day but this year we are, or I am anyway laugh.gif I'm putting a card in his suitcase that he hopefully won't find until he gets back to GA, and I'm also sending a box of V-day trinkets that will be there when he gets back....boxers with hearts and lips on them, the word hearts, chocolate rose, etc...sort of corny stuff but I think he'll like having a little care package waiting for him. Oh and some tortillas and salsa, since he's complaining he can't get good Mexican food rolling_smile.gif

jem0622 replied: I guess I am lame this year...LOL. A card and a bag of Ghiradelli squares. LOL.

coasterqueen replied: Thanks everyone for your ideas.

The girls and I ended up going shopping on Friday and I bought him two books, a shirt, a red number for me to wear happy.gif and a card. Kylie decided she wanted to get daddy something and picked it out herself. She got him a Cardinals lunchbox and Cardinal baseballs. happy.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: we are just going to exchange cards and cook a nice dinner at home. not much just a nice evening together.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: We normally don't do anything, even though it's the anniversary of the day we met. wub.gif But this year I bet we do something really special. happy.gif I can't believe it's thursday!!! ohmy.gif

I'm not sure we will buy each other anything since I just took a trip to South Beach and he ordered a new suit. tongue.gif A nice dinner out would be fine with me.

holley79 replied: I got him a card from myself and a seperate one from Annika. Annika is going to hang out at her day home and we are going to a nice dinner. blush.gif We don't do a lot of the fluff that goes with it.
