Kylie told on me! - Church mentioned
coasterqueen wrote: I forgot to tell you all this! We were in church yesterday and Kylie and the Sunday school class just finished singing for everyone. Then they had the children's sermon up front during church. The pastor was talking about the kids prayer boxes and using crayons and pencils to write out or draw out their prayers. Kylie immediately said "my mommy took away all my crayons and pencils until Monday morning so I can't do my prayers". The pastor said, "what did you say Kylie, I couldn't hear you". So she got up to the mic and really loudly repeated it. I turned RED RED RED. I was laughing, the congregation was laughing. I can't believe that little turkey told on me!
The day before she took a pen and wrote all over her sister's clothes hamper and all over some boxes that were to be thrown away. I took away all her writing utensils until Monday to teach her she can't write on things that aren't paper. She's never done things like this before so I was taken back by it, but thought the best punishment was to make her go a few days without it.
I still can't believe she said that in church.

MamaJAM replied: What a little stinker!
I used to volunteer in the library at my girls' old school...and I'm very good friends with several elementary school teachers. They always say that kids are WAY TOO open and honest about what goes on at home! One of my friends...who happens to be one of DD#3's teachers this year always tells the parents in her class "If you promise to come to me first if you have a problem with the class - I promise to only believe the good-things your kids tell me about you."
coasterqueen replied: That's good!
DansMom replied: That Kylie!

MommyToAshley replied: LOL! How funny! What a little character.
I am always scared about what Ashley will say at church. LOL! Other than singing "I can't get no Satisfaction", she's been pretty good. I can only imagine what she tells her pre-k teacher though.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Sounds like a perfectly appropriate punishment to me Karen. Too bad the pastor picked this weekend to talk about writing down prayers.
