Kylie has had a fever for 3 days now

coasterqueen wrote: UGH, Kylie has had a fever for 3 days now and it doesn't seem to want to stay away! sad.gif mad.gif

When we got back from tree shopping on Sunday we noticed she had one and it was almost 103. ohmy.gif We gave her motrin and it went down. It keeps going down and back up. dry.gif DH gave her some motrin this morning before leaving work and she hasn't had a fever at all the rest of the day. So of course I was thinking she could go to daycare tomorrow because they have preschool on M,W,F but Dh just checked her head and she's got another fever sad.gif.

Ok, so I'm secretly sad too because I had planned for two weeks now to go to a movie today - one of the Mom Reels movie. I really needed that mom time out to go watch a movie even if Megan was coming with me. happy.gif Oh well, there's next time. rolleyes.gif

I just wish this darn fever would go away. She's so whiny, not really sickly, just whiny.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Ethan had this, too last week. Sunday he broke out in a rash all over his face, neck, tummy and back. Yep, it was either fifth disease or Roseola. rolleyes.gif I could not figure out what the fever was all about b/c he felt fine otherwise....just whiney and clingy. I knew immediately when I saw the darn rash. It's gone now.

I"m sorry you are missing your movie and I hope Kylie feels better soon.gif

ediep replied: awwww, poor thing! Hope that darn fever stays away!!

kit_kats_mom replied: Good gravy Karen,
I've not been posting since it's been nuts here but I have been reading posts in between crisis's (crisi? LOL)
Anyway, you can't seem to catch a break can you? I sure hope Kylie is feeling better soon. How's everything else going?

MommyToAshley replied: Oh no! Poor Kylie, I hope she is feeling better.

And poor Mom, I know how much you could use that time away. grouphug.gif

I hope things get back to normal soon so you can take some time for yourself.

A&A'smommy replied: OH goodness poor baby!!! I hope she gets better soon and I hope you get to go to a moms movie soon!!! (((((HUGS))))

mama3x replied: Oh fevers are so stressful! More for us mommies than the babies sometimes! Keep up with that Motrin and liquids, that fever will break soon. Get some rest and believe me I know what you mean about feeling sad when you'd been planning to do something for yourself. Hang in there!!!!!

gr33n3y3z replied: Did you take her to the Dr?
She could have an ear infection
John used to get them and never complain about pain

amynicole21 replied: Aww man... I'm sorry sad.gif I hope she gets over it quickly.

ian'smommy replied:
I agree... When this happened to Ian he never complained about pain either. He just became more whiny and clingy. It usually turned out to be an ear infection. One time it ended up being a throat infection. Fevers are a sign that something is usually going on. It's their body fighting off an infection of some kind.

Kaitlin'smom replied: ~~~get well vibes~~~

DansMom replied: That fever has to break today! I hope Kylie is feeling better soon! grouphug.gif

jem0622 replied: Oh I hate when they get those viral things and have high fevers. Poor thing. I used Motrin and then 4 hrs later Tylenol and then 2 hrs later Motrin again.

Sorry she is sick! And sorry you missed the movie!

jcc64 replied: Every year I forget until I'm in the middle of it that Spring is high season for all sorts of weird infections and fevers. My kids are invariably sicker in the Spring than they are during the winter cold/flu season.
I totally understand how desperately you needed to get away. It feels like every last shred of your sanity is hanging on that one outing, and then when the opportunity slips away, you feel utterly trapped, right?
Hopefully, you'll get another chance soon. In the meantime, hang in there- it WILL get better in about 18 yrs or so! rolling_smile.gif

mammag replied: Hope she's doing better today. Jeanne said it exactly.......trapped.....that's how I feel when things like that happen. Make sure you get your mom time when she is feeling better. grouphug.gif

5littleladies replied: Poor girl! And poor mom! I hope she's feeling better today! grouphug.gif
