Kylie got her hair chopped off!

coasterqueen wrote: Kylie has been nagging me for ages to get her hair short. I let her cut it to her shoulders one other time, but couldn't go with anything shorter. Well, I finally gave in. Her hair gets those really cute banana curls that I LOVE but it makes for a lot of tangling and her head is so sensitive she absolutely hates getting her hair brushed. She wanted to get it cut ear-length ( ) but I made her settle with chin-length. It's so super cute!!!!! At first I didn't like it when she walked out of the hair place with daddy, but then by the end of the day I fell in love with it. It was so super easy to brush it this morning too. Whew! Sorry, I didn't get pics, but I'll try to get some this week and post them. She looks SO much older, though, with the new cut.

She also got a new bike for her upcoming birthday. Her other one was a 12 or 14 inch and she majorly outgrew it. She didn't want to get a new one at first, but with some coaxing she finally considered it. I was surprised though that she didn't pick pink or purple. Instead she went with a red,white, tan paisley looking bike. She was so happy she went with the bigger one and is more comfortable with it.

I'll have to get pics of her on her bike, too. This weekend was just crazy having a new puppy around.

@DansMom: a faux hawk is when the hair is normal length but you make a mohawk with your hands, no hair cutting needed!

coasterqueen replied: I know I know I still haven't gotten any. Things are in massive chaos in our house right now with a new puppy. I can't even get any laundry done around here. I had to wear crappy clothes to work today because we have no laundry clean. I'll get them sometime this week.

That's not even all her curl. When it got cut, all of the tight tight banana curls went away.

bluebear, thanks for setting me straight! I've been misnaming that for a while. I wonder what the hair cut is called where it's basically shaved on the sides, but there's a wide strip in the middle, but you don't spike it up with gel?

(I mean, besides "ridiculous", what is that cut called? )
