Kinda in shock right now...

They were inner-tubing on a hill and as they went through an intersection or something a car hit them. I don't know the whole story, but I guess it was getting dark and the driver of the car didn't see them. Anyways one of them has 2 broken collorbones, a fractured rib, a dislocated shoulder, and a puncture in her lung. The other girl had a big cut on her head that needed ten staples and has a concussion and can't remember much. Another girl was with them but luckily saw the car and jumped off in time. They had invited Ashlyn to go with them but I said no because she had homework. I'm so glad I didn't let her go! The girls are both out of the hospital now and recovering at home, but I'm sure they're in lots of pain. Please pray for these girls!!

Friday night my teenager asked if she could go to a large party planned if her school won the basketball game against the rival school.....she broke cerfew getting home and I grounded her for the weekend.....so no party.....
There was a shooting there by people from the town where the rival school is located and a young man was killed.....just a random shot fired off and he happened to be in the line of fire. Had I let her go.......who knows how it would have ended. SO....my town buries a wonderful athlete this week...and he was just a senior in high school. Sad.

Makes you want to hug them all the tighter, doesn't it? I hope the girls recover from their injuries quickly. How scary to think of the possibilities had your daughter been there!!
