Katherine's first haircut

kit_kats_mom wrote: Well, my little monkey still doesn't have a full head of hair. But what she does have, is pretty long and scraggley. I took her today for her first haircut.

The hairdresser said that the first haircut is important because it sets the stage for future ones. She said that she will stop if the baby gets upset. She thought that we would get K's hair wet, combed and that would probably be all that got done today.

Well, K proved her wrong by a mile. She sat in my lap and was quiet and still as can be. She made a few "serious" faces at the hairdresser but other than that, was fine with it.

We went and got a toy afterwards for her special reward for being such a big girl. Then we came home and I "did her nails" (clipped and filed) while we ate ice cream and watched Elmo...ahhhh bliss!

she did a great job, It will be a while before I even think of trimming Kaitlin's hair, I just dont want to mess with her curls.....Oh an how I wish Kaitlin would let me do her nails....I can usually only do a couple at a time
