I had my appointment today, and we talked about how painful it is for me to walk. Then he checked me and I am 2 centimeters and 80% or more thinned out. He said my cervix is very soft and he could induce me on Monday if I wanted him to. It was completely my decision, of course. I weighed it all out, and I think I'm ready. Well, my house isn't, but I'll probably never think it is.
Anyway, if I don't go into labor before then, I am supposed to be there Monday morning at 6:30!

alice&arik replied: I'm so jealous!! I wish I knew where the light at the end of the tunnel is for me! I am dialated to almost 2, but there is no way I will voluntarily be induced again. I will ask to have my water broken first! It took 30.5 hours being induced with Arik----not to scare you or anything! I was at a 2 for 2 months and then I was 100% effaced and he still wouldn't come out til my water broke and I went from 2 to 10 in 20 minutes and he was out in half an hour!

Aren't you only 2 days behind me?

Danalana replied: Thanks yall! I'm really excited and nervous. I'm gonna miss him being in there so much...for the most part, I have LOVED pregnancy. But he has a family and church family who already love him soooo much, so I can't keep him to myself forever. I've been crying off and on, worried about my dogs...about how life will never be the same (but in a good way)...wondering if I will be a good mother. All normal stuff, I'm sure. I just can't believe all I have to get done in 5 days. I came home today with good intentions, but I am completely overwhelmed with all of it. I've just been sitting here in a daze

ETA: After reading your second post Dana, I wanted to add that I think you're going to be a wonderful mother. You've waited for this moment for so long and struggled for so long with it that you know by now what it takes and how special a moment this is.

Danalana replied: Well, it's a lot better than it was. One of our friends paints and he is going to paint it on Thursday. We have the playard and swing put together and most everything cleaned out. Now we just have to finish it, as well as do an overhaul on the whole house The bassinet will be in our room, but I want to clean out the closet and clean everything, top to bottom first. It's a bit of a challenge, trying to move around with a baby hanging around way down in my pelvis

I just went on a tour of our hospital today.. I LOVE the fact that you birth in the room that you are going to stay in.. they are AMAZING rooms GORGEOUS!!!!

I worked on the house SO hard today, and there is still so much to do. I will keep doing what I can during the days when DH is at work, and we will have to work together when he gets home. I am EXHAUSTED! I have a feeling we will be working on it all weekend. Gosh, I'm so nervous
I can't believe it's really happening. When he offered to induce me, it just threw me for a loop. I think I had forgotten that I was already SO close.
Anyway, I'm gonna be a mommy soon

It seems like just yesterday. When you first got PG I was so scared for you, and when your bean stuck I was like And now you get to meet your little man any second...
that feeling is like none other.

Danalana replied: I know...after the second loss, I asked Richard if we could just adopt. I was such an emotional wreck and I didn't wanna go through it anymore (I know 2 losses is nothing compared to what a lot of people go through). He said "we're going to have our own", and I just felt There was no way he could understand how it felt to lose one himself, even though I know he was sad too. We knew nothing was really wrong with me...hormones and everything were great, no endometriosis, etc...and we knew we could get pregnant. STAYING pregnant was the problem. Anyway, after the last time, I told myself I wasn't going to get excited about a positive test EVER again. But this last time, there were differences in how I felt. I just knew I was pregnant, even before I POAS. I also had told myself that I wasn't going to tell anybody until we passed some milestones, but I told yall pretty much as soon as I emerged from the bathroom It was so hard, waiting for all the "big" things. Seeing and hearing the heartbeat on the U/S...12 weeks...24 weeks (viability), etc....
I felt so weird, being ecstatic over these little things, when people are having babies all over the place. You'd think I was the first I think my losses reminded me just how precious and fragile life is...such a MIRACLE!
