So in honor of the huricane victims....think about all those people that lost children or a mom and dad and give your kids a memorable kiss. It seriously is different when you are really paying attention to it.

amymom replied: Thanks for the reminder. Mine are older and try to keep me at arms length!! But I try not to let them get away with that too often. Like this morning when they went off to school. I made them hug me 15 minutes before the bus came so they wouldn't be embarresed

Kaitlin'smom replied: Kait does this to me before she goes to bed and when I drop her off. if she does not think I am paying attention she will take my face in her hands and plant one right on my lips and says I kissed you mommy

Thats too cute.....Mckaylee always says "Tisses and a hug mom". Or if she just got punished for something and is crying...she will say "come here" and hold out her arms so she can climb up and cry and say sorry.

oh ya Kait HATES time out and the few times when she needs one she will cry, hug me and say she is sorry before she ever gets there

Kylie is the SAME exact way. When she kisses me she looks straight into my eyes and gives me a kiss and she expects the same.

But there are some instances when it's what I call a drive-by kiss.

It reminds of Brittany. This weekend we celebrated her birthday. I gave her a card.. and it said alot of things.. and one of them was that God had made everything I ever done WRONG.. Right when he allowed me to be her mother. That I made she made me so proud.. And that I knew she was going to be something Great in her life..

When she got done reading her card.. she was in my arms crying so hard.. it made me feel so good to have her in my arms again.. when she wanted to be. When she wanted me to hold her..not a drive by!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Our preacher talked about this Sunday morning. He said to always get down on your child's level and don't make them strain to look up to you. It really does make a difference. My kids LOVE when I kneel down and look at them. I love it, too.

My2Beauties replied: Oh this post almost made me cry, then when I read what Mel said it really made me tear up! I will do this when I get home tonight, I kiss Hanna all the time, because she loves to give kisses but I will take the extra effort to look into her eyes this time!
