Just made a woman cry...

holley79 wrote: It was NOT 100% my fault though. This lady just called and said her son had been taken to DJJ (Dept Juv Justice) this morning. She said she couldn't get through to anyone over there. (It's in the next county over, we can't justify having our own.) Well anywho, I call our jail to see what numbers they have and they have the same numbers. (I feel sorry for her she is a mother, she can't help her son got in trouble, right?) Well they have the same number she has. I call Escambia (where DJJ is) and they only have the one number. I told them what was going on. Well I told the lady I talked to our jail and they have the same number and also ECSO has that same number. Well she starts crying and tell me how unfair I am being and that I'm no help at all. I calmly (which took a lot out of me BTW) explained to her I wasn't at DJJ and unfortunately I don't have any other contact number for them.

Well I looked up her son in our MNI (Master Name Index) and her son was arrested for Burglary and grand theft. Him and his friends were caught breaking into cards this morning. They were in their PJs for goodness sake. What is wrong with these kids??? He's only 16 and now has two felonies on his record. When are these kids going to wise up. When school gets out crime rate goes up.

We just arrested a 14 yo yesterday on 15 counts of Burg and 15 counts of grand theft and 1 count of grand theft vehicle. ohmy.gif I jsut am totally dumbfounded as to what is wrong with these kids. (I'm probably going to get ripped here for this but) They lacked disipline from thier parents and didn't get thier butts beat enough.

Remind me to go hug my mom for whooping my tail growing up. dry.gif

Sorry this got so long. I just can not believe these kids. Then the mom getting ticked at me.

*** She called back while I was typing this. She wanted to talk to my supervisor. Said she wanted to file a formal complaint against me. I told her I could give her his VM he was out of the office. I wrote down the time she orginally called so they can pull the tapes. Thank goodness for recorded phonelines. ***

redchief replied: Sorry you're having a stressful day, Holley. I hope it gets nothing but better.

holley79 replied:
It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to take Annika to the Dr's later for her well baby, which includes shots. bawling.gif

redchief replied: Oh man... nothing like a little built in stress on your day. Hang in there!

holley79 replied:
I will, thank you.

I bet Lisa is on cloud 9 right now with the little one.

TheOaf66 replied: yep I work with recorded lines as well and it has helped me out too, some people just get so uppity when you cannot help even though you are trying to.

redchief replied:
Hahah... I just told her not to yell at him (she wasn't really, I was teasing her). I think she is, but we're kind of out of practice, you know? laugh.gif

holley79 replied:

Recorded lines have saved my tush many times.

gr33n3y3z replied: Sorry your having a bad day sad.gif

But you want to know something its the best place for him and all the others that have gotten taken in
I just cant find sorrow for kids like that nor the parents
Kids are what the parents make them in to
Your no better then the company you keep and
if your not part of the soultion then your part of the problem

I hope the rest of the day goes better smile.gif

luvmykids replied: hug.gif You must have ended up as frustrated as her, you couldn't do anything else. Sure she's upset that he's in trouble but apparantly it's nothing new for him ... sadly.

C&K*s Mommie replied: It will surely all come out in the wash that you did nothing wrong. It will be a waste of time on your super's part to have to sort through all mudslinging she might throw at him about you.

Sorry your day started off wrong, hopefully it ended well with Annika. hug.gif

Kudos to you for keeping your cool. hug.gif

16 with two felonies... ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

CantWait replied: Holley I'm so sorry. I'm sure once she's had time to cool off, she'll realize what a b***h she's being.

You did the best you could with the situation, unfortunetly her son has probably got her stressed to the max and she's taking it out on you.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Holley, I couldn't agree with you more. Some parents now a days are too busy being their child's friend or want to coddle them endlessly, instead of being their parent. Her son screwed up, he needs to pay the price. I can understand she probably isn't "all there" right now being that she is upset about her baby being in juvy, but she shouldn't take it out on you. You can only do your job, you're not Wonder Woman!

kristy-n-chad replied:
Ditto everything here! I hope your day get better.

ashtonsmama replied:
This sounds like the day from you-know-where! I'm sorry Holley.

gr33n3y3z replied:
I'm having a good time with Danny
But I would never think of having a baby at this ripe OLD age ever
I was getting his dinner ready and he got quite and here he feel asleep lol
I guess he will eat when he wakes up laugh.gif

Halo42101 replied: hug.gif For you Holley. hug.gif
