PrairieMom wrote: Well, i just found out tonight ath I was exposed to Tuberculosis this past weekend when I was working. growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif Thank goodness I found out tonight so I can ask my OB about it at my appt tomorrow. I'm starting to freak out. Good grief! TB is the LAST thing I need right now.
Not to mention that I just had my yearly test done monday and read yesterday. I know for sure I get to have another one of those! growl.gif
Keep your fingers crossed for me.

PrairieMom replied:
not a ton, but TB is spread by coughing, and being ab RT, I am constantly in peoples faces making them cough. So, really it wouldn't take much. I've been exposed before and never gotten it, but never when I was PG and my immune system was down. I'm gonna visit with my Dr about it today. Hopefully I don't have anything to worry about.

b&bsmom replied: I will keep you in my prayers hope all is ok!!

PrairieMom replied: The Dr. said that there was probably nothing to worry about, and we wouldn't be able to do anything about it right now anyway. dunno.gif So I guess I will just assume that we are all fine, unless i start having symptoms or something. Thankfully this happened twards the end of the pregnancy and not the beginning!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I'm hoping for the best!!! Please let us know... hug.gif

jem0622 replied: How stressful! Hope you are okay!

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Sorry sad.gif though as long as it doesn't go active it really isn't anything to worry about. Dh actually tested positive for TB right after Katy was born. he had been tested about a year before and had to get tested again for a new job...he took the 9 months of antibiotics (which was about as much fun for him as me taking 9 months of prenatals biggrin.gif ) but now he never has to get teh skin test again. I always look for the silver lining. My step dad actually got TB as a child so they have to compare chest films to proove there are no new spots.

aspenblue1 replied: How scary. I hope you both are fine. hug.gif hug.gif

ilovemybaby replied: Do they not vaccinate against TB in the US? I had a TB shot years ago... I can't remember when but I think I was about 10. I have that circle mark on my arm.

kimberley replied: fingers and toes crossed! i was exposed to TB also during pg. p&pt your way and keep us posted. hug.gif hug.gif
