Just got off the phone with Ab again - 7/16/2008 10:31 pm

TANNER'S MOM wrote: Okay finally got to talk a minute.

She is wore slick out. Spent all day in the hospital!

Here is the update.

He did raise his arm today. He did acknowledge family. She said it seemed like one step forward two steps back. She as soon as he moved his arm, then it seemed his fever spiked again. He is still very tired and still very sick. They have brought in occupational and physical therapist today. They said at this point it may be that he has to relearn everything. They are starting over with his motor skills etc. They said that may change they aren't sure. But they don't want his muscles to atrophy etc. Right now the big concern is the feeding tube. If he doesn't take more fluids they will have to do it. But the concern with that is the infection in his body so they are holding off. He did take some sips of Gatorade today. But not much. His Potassium level so way low and something else she said I can't remember is too low. His white blood cells are way to high still! So if that doesn't change then they will have to do something. Her Mom is still in a bad state. Dealing with a lot! So remember her in your prayers too.

Abbie said again this was the sugar coated version due to the kids in the room and she couldn't tell me everything. So please continue to pray for him.

If I spelled something wrong please forgive me. I am not good at medical terms.

Teesa®© replied: Thanks for the update!! I check in a few times a day to see if anything's new.

The family should be sleeping in shifts, at least. They're not doing Nolan any good by being exhausted. I know they all want to be there all the time, but I don't want them to get sick, too. Nolan's in good hands with the doctors, they need to trust that and sleep. Maybe they could ask for a cot in his room, if there's not one there already?

Keep it up, Nolan!!! We're rooting for you!!!!
