coasterqueen replied: Nope, don't live there, but LOVE that place!!!! Course I was an under-age drinker then who thought it was awesome to get served everywhere and was pretty much drunk the entire trip!

Our Lil' Family replied: Yep, I do! I'm one hour north in Baton Rouge! Tim has a conference there next weekend and I'm driving down to meet him for a night.

So what brought you there? Tell me you did have beignets while there right? And a hurricane from Pat O's?

Cece00 replied: Thats crazy, I was JUST there this weekend!!! I live 2 hrs from there. We were down for the whole weekend for my birthday in the Crowne Plaza on Bourbon and Canal.

We had a BLAST and I got great pics.

I couldve done without the shooting nearly right outside our hotel, but we're kinda used to it.

We went down for the French Quarter Fest, and also to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Dh, being a musician, has always wanted to go, and I was happy to tag along. We did have beignets, and mountains of oysters, crawfish, etouffee, and everything else we could get our hands on. I saw lots of people drinking hurricanes at the festival, but I'm not much of a mixed drink person. I did drink A LOT of Abita, in all of its different incarnations. The people down there are just lovely, and I can't wait to go back again next year.
