MomofJandB replied: My DD is Jessica Marie. Just liked the 1st name, the middle name is because she was born on the feast of the Assumption, so I wanted to put some form of Mary in her name.

My DS is Brian Thomas. Liked the first name and the middle name is my husbands.

My second is Jordan Mackenzie and honest to god his name was picked out of a hat, i couldnt decide on anything but didnt like anything anyone suggested so we took all the parts of names i liked and put them in a hat and 3 days after he was born lol he got his name.

My third, well we didnt know what we were having but were pretty sure it was a girl one day dh and i were watching a game show and there was a lady named alexis we both looked at each other and said what about alexis and then he said what about Alexis Brooke so that was that

And the fourth, well we knew we both liked andrew but with what??? so for the longest time he was going to be andrew james so we could call him AJ but shortly before he was born dh says i dont want him going through life being AJ so i said ok how about using his name eh he said he wasnt crazy about it but i was so he eventually wore down, and we have Andrew Richard now!

as for the next one......... who knows!

mommy2owen replied: Dh named Alyssa after his girlfriend at the time, who passed away in child birth.

A while after I met Ben and we were getting into a more serious relationship, he started talking about kids, and how he wanted to have a son and name him Owen, after his best friend growing up. So when we found out we were going to have a boy, all we needed was a middle name. Matthew is my older brother's name and since he has always looked out for me and helped me through everything, we decided that Matthew would fit just right!

As for this baby, we are having some trouble!

1. Brittany Michelle... I didn't name her at all my ex did. But we wanted nice normal names. Since neither of us had them at the time. My name is really MELBA, and his was Linval Joe, (Joey of course) so we didn't want to torture our children!

2.Justin Bailey Chance, Well I guess I love cowboys, Nothing better than a trip to the Western Store to pick names, Justin Boots and Bailey Hat, and for the Chance, I had read a book and Chance was an awesome character who had a child who died and never stopped grieving. And there was a chane that Justin could die, so it was a very emotional name for me!

3. Tiffany Cheyenne, Dh's daughter actually. This is funny kinda. When Tiff was born DH was still a teenager, and loved Saved By the Bell, you know Tiffany Amber Theisen, well that is were he got Tiffany, and Cheyenne, goes back to the cowboy, cowgirl thing

4. Tanner Layne, we really struggled with this. But Dh wanted his son to have a strong name! And I neat cowboy sounding name, we found Tanner, the day before he was born, and loved it. Layne is after Lane Frost proffesional bull rider who got killed durning Cheyenne Frontier Days,

So really both of DH's child are a dedication to him, Tiffany Cheyenne , and Tanner Layne. For the reason of this, Dh was a bull rider who got hurt badly. He was stepped on and ending up on life support and dying twice. Had his kidney rupture and infect his whole body. 3 months in the hospital, nine days on life support. And in the middle of it all Lane Frost parents, Clyde and Eliose came to the hospital to see him, and had a fund raiser for him. And they wrote off his complete medical bill.

moped replied: Well Jack just because we liked it and his middle names are Thomas (daddy) and Vejsig is a Danish surname that everyone in the family has, girl or boy, so if we had another he/she would have to have that in the name also.........

Kaitlin'smom replied: Well we had a very short list of name we both liked and I was watching a move (starring Tiffany Amber Theison) and her character name was Caitlin, well i loved it but DH was not to kean on the idea but he thoguth about it and said I do like it, I think it would be neat if her nick name was Cait. Well we just chose a different spelling and Nicole well I have always loved the name and it was the only one that went with all our names so Kaitlin Nicole it was

kimberley replied: Jacob Anthony - Jacob because it was the only name my ex and I could agree on. Anthony because i loved the name.

James Patrick - James is after my dad. Patrick is after my ex although i did NOT want that.

Jessica Jade - Jessica after my grandmother that passed. Jade because DH and i love the name!

btw, i really didn't try to do all J's, it just worked out that way

coasterqueen replied: DH and I both wanted our children to have their "own" name. Meaning we didn't want them to have any part of their name from someone in our family, etc. We wanted them to have their own uniqueness. So that was what drove us to decide on names.

you want to hear the nuttiest thing imo! my grandmother (mom's mom) named her kids after her and her DH! talk about confusing at christmas!

A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa because we loved it and Faith because Faith hope and Love and since someone else in our family was hope we went with faith. Next female child will have something similar

Ariana Faith- Again, we just loved the name Ariana and we thought faith went well with grace.

Sofia Marie- We just loved Sofia and DH mother is named Marie.

Alexia Michelle- Alexia is after someone I looked up to when I was younger and we loved the name. Michelle just went well with the name.

Brooklyn Elizabeth- Loved the name Brooklyn and Elizabeth is my middle name.

Michael Henry - at the time he had an uncle named Henry and an uncle named Michael. He hasn't seen either for years, and Henry just ended up being what I called him.

Matthew Joel - he's gone now, but Matthew was the only name that would have fit that child. Joel was just a name my ex liked.

Vincent Joel - obviously his middle name is after his brother in heaven, Matthew. I wanted old fashioned names. Something that would turn him into a suit and tie man who was always sucessful. I failed! LOL

Kelton Andrew - His name was going to be Kelton Karl. I had a freind named Karl. Then I met my ex ... and well, decided to honor them.

Tracy Nicole - my ex had a brother named Tracy Nicholas who died 10 years ago. It was decided before she was born that she would be a Tracy.

Nicky Henry - Nicky needed a name that would say "hey, I'm a guy who goes by my own road. I'm cool!" and he is. Nicky was a freind of mine way back when who's gone now. Henry is after his big brother.

Andriana Charlene - my son had a hero named Andrew Charles. He didn't want to name her Andrea. This is what happened. That person is a total jerk, who we haen't seen in a year, (thank GOD) but Andriana still has a beautiful name.

Carter Todd - My ex had a brother named Todd. Wanted names that matched.

Clara Kate - Clara goes with Carter well..it's kind of..old fashion. I love it because it's her to a T. Kate just went with it.

Peter Alexander - my son had a freind named Alex. But moreover he just liked that name. Peter is a family name.

Brooklyn Jane - my wife and I wanted something that said new but old. Brooklyn has nothing to do with the place. She just loved it (and I do too) and Jane, just made it sound like an old time name. It brought some...thing..back to it.

Michael Wesley - Michael because I had always loved that name and said when I was 16 that if I ever had a boy, he'd be Michael. Wesley is my brother's name, and well, I adore my little brother. His oldest girl has Marie for a middle name. Aren't we sweet?

Gabriel David - Well, once I had a Michael I always wanted another little boy that I could name Gabriel and then I would have my two arch angels to watch over me in my golden years. Years passed and I truly decided it just wasn't meant to be. Then, out of the blue, DH announces that after years of contemplation... he wanted a baby. OMG! And so... I got my Gabriel after all. David because it goes so well with Gabriel, we thought... it's such a strong name. Plus, DH has a little brother named David who we love. DH liked the name David so much, he kept going around telling people if it was a boy he would be Gabriel David and if it was a girl, she would be Rebecca David.

maestra replied: Jaquelyn Gabrielle- Dh loves the singer Jaci Velasquez, and wanted to name our dd Jaci. I agreed, only if we could name her Jaquelyn and call her Jaci. The spelling of Jaquelyn is actually phonetically correct in Spanish (pronounced Ya-k-leen - k like the letter k. ) I haven't been so good at teaching her to speak it though. Gabrielle was just because they went well together and I like it.

As for Giselle Rebecca- we have a friend whose daughter is named Giselle. She goes by G.G. for short. (In Spanish it is pronounced he-sell, but we use the English pronunciation. I just wanted the name to be something that was easily prounounced in Spanish for our family and friends that are bilingual ) We always loved that little girl, and her name, so we decided to use it. We just thought that Rebecca went well with Giselle.

akbutterfly83 replied: Mason Ray- We just both liked Mason and wanted something differant, as for Ray.... dh's middle name is Raymond, his grandpa is Raymond, his uncle is Raymond, and I have 2 uncles named Raymond.... But Raymond didn't go right with Mason, so we shortened it to Ray... and it fits nice....

As for the next... we have a while to think of a nother I think, and dh hopes.....

Maegan Marie- Again we really loved the name Maegan, and Marie is my middle name we both wanted to use it.

Kevin Todd: Kevin was my first love when I was 14, Kevin Smith. And Todd would have been my middle name had I been a boy, plus I liked it.

Lydia Elizabeth: My mom's name is Linda and we wanted something close because we weren't crazy about it. So we found Lydia. Elizabeth is Jim's mom's middle name.

Adam James Edward: Notice Adam has 2 middle names. Adam was the only name we could agree on. Seriously, if he had been a girl she might not have ever been named. James is his daddy's name and Edward is my grandfather's name. It looks funny on his soc. security card because he is so little and his name is so long. But I think it sound very regal, like royalty or something.

We wanted to name her after people who love her -

Jonathan Howard "Jack"--he is a III --that's about all the explanation.

Emeraldsmom replied: My daughters name is Emerald Victoria. My husband picked the name Emerald. We both love it. He thought it was a beautiful name, and also green is his favorite color. Before we decided the name Emerald, it was going to be Jade. Victoria is my moms name.

My half Brother Jacob Daniel : Jacob from the bible and Daniel because me and my mom loved it.

My Real Brother Ryan Michael : Ryan cause they liked it and Michael because it is my Uncles middle name.

My Niece Zelda Kayleen: Zelda "supposebly" came from Giselda a grandmother of one of my step brothers sides and Kayleen because his ex-wife loved it.

And the rest of my 5 step brothers:
James, Matthew, Phillip, Malachi and Caleb
All from the bible also.

Josie83 replied: All these stories are so interesting. Jason and I had a lot of disagreements about Cassie's name before she was born. He liked some and I liked some. I wanted to give her a name that sounded a bit Italian, so it was always going to be something like Annabella (which I still love, and Jason liked Annie for short) or Gabrielle (my middle name) . . . The reason we eventually came up with Cassie was because we had been to see a show of A Chorus Line (which JAson later went on to actin!) and the lead female is called Cassie. I said after the show huch I liked it and Jason agreed . . . I said I wanted it to be sort for Cassia or Cassandra so she could have a more formal name if she didn't like Cassie when she grew up. He said he preferred Cassandra, and we chose Maria as her middle name as it is bona fide Italy and it is also my little sister's name! She hardly ever actually gets Cassandra, but I still love the name xx
