Jury reaches verdict in John Couey Murder Trial

kit_kats_mom wrote: CNN still hasn't said what the verdict was but I'm assuming it's guilty....it better be guilty and that guy needs to suffer a slow and painful death. Jessica Lunsfords father is an amazingly strong man. I'd have poisoned that guys coffee, blown poison darts at him and throttled him slowly. He's just a monster. I seriously think that this case has a lot to do with my mental health issues. This one just makes me physically ill to think about.

BTW, in this case, I'd actually like the state of FL to bring back the old electric chair that caught the last guy on fire...it's now retired but IMO, that would be pretty nice in this case.

OK, I'm getting grusome. Sorry. blush.gif

stella6979 replied: I couldn't agree more. He will be found guilty, there's no doubt about that. What irks me is the fact that he said he needs to forgive himself in order for God to forgive him and he said he would apologize to Jessica when he sees her in Heaven. That just makes my blood boil.

luvbug00 replied: LOL, oh this guy deffinately deserves the worst but since they yanked the chair he will get a "humane" death *sigh* dry.gif but i hope the family finds some closure although it will never be compleate without their little girl.

C&K*s Mommie replied: you said it best, Cary.

FRY him slowly! growl.gif

lisar replied: I live in FL. when that girl went missing it was like it was local. It wasnt to far from me to begin with. I hope that guy rotts. I would mind them bringing back ole sparky for him.

stella6979 replied:
I agree with you about her Dad. I remember when this first happened. EVERYONE was judging him, saying he had something to do with it because he lived in a trailer park and looked the way he did. I stood firm and always believed he had nothing to do with it. You could just tell. You could see the sincerity in his eyes and hear it in his voice (unlike Scott Peterson) and for people to judge him because of the way he looked or because he just happened to stay the night at his GF's house that night, is just absurd. Hopefully this will bring him some closure and he can move on with getting the laws changed.

kit_kats_mom replied: Guilty. I'm not doing the happy dance because there is nothing happy about the whole thing. But I am so glad that justice was served.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: ITA! FRYYYYYYYYYYY HIM!!!!!! growl.gif We did however just pass Jessica's law here on Tuesday-the fist thing I can give a thumb.gif in our state government for awhile. Now when they get convicted for child molestation it is an automatic 25 years and if they do it a 2nd time it is the death penalty.....of course we will let them live for the next 15 years on the tax payers and appeal it 20 times before they finally get their just reward but at least they won't be out in 18 months to hurt someone again! growl.gif

What a sick SOB!!! growl.gif I hope Jessica gets to stoke the fires that will surround him for the rest of eternity! growl.gif

stella6979 replied:
Are you in Florida? Hopefully it will be a national law soon!

mummy2girls replied: ok please dont get mad but i have been out of the news loop for a bit... I know this girl is young.. how young? and what did he do?

stella6979 replied:
She was 9. He kidnapped her from her home, raped her, and buried her alive in his yard. mad.gif mad.gif

lisar replied:
Yeap thats what happened.

lisar replied:
I forgot to add, if I remember right his house was across the street from her house where he took her from.

stella6979 replied:
Yep. Supposedly he kept her there for 2 days while police were searching for her. They even questioned the people in that house and they still aren't sure if she was alive while they being questioned. He said he hadn't planned on killing her but he "panicked" and since he couldn't kill her himself, he just buried her alive. He coersed into the garbage bags by telling her he was taking her home. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

mummy2girls replied: omg my heart just dropped and i cant stop crying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think if thast happened to jenna that is one thing that would make me take anothers life. Its horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

punkeemunkee'smom replied: No I am in Texas....we have capital punishment here but we still take forever after the verdict. I am so sad for that sweet little girl! Wasn't he an already convicted child offender? puke.gif soapbox.gif If they had just kept him locked up or had the death penalty in place the first time....... bawling.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied:

bawling.gif growl.gif bawling.gif growl.gif WHY???????????? This makes me sick! bawling.gif

Nina J replied: What was his sentence. I usually am strongly opposed to capital punishment, I'm one of those "premeditated murder by the state" people, but what he did to Jessica was awful. He deserves to be buried alive.

Cece00 replied: I dont know if hell exists or not, but in cases like this, I hope it does, and I hope being there is so so so incredibly painful and horrible and that he'll go there and be tortured for all eternity.

Brias3 replied:
IMHO, that guy won't be seeing a stitch of anything other than an eternal fiery hell.

BAC'sMom replied: I hope he packs for warm weather. People like him don’t last long in prison; so not to worry he’ll get his. wink.gif

Jackie012007 replied: I followed that trial on court TV all wekk. I LOVE how they tried to make him look crazy by having him color all week while people were testifying - and the friggen judge allowed it. Have some friggen respect, they should have made him sit there and listen to every morbid detail instead of letting him color the whole time like a kindergartener growl.gif

I have so much respect for her father, he has rallied tirelessly to get Jessie's Law in place and throughout the whole trial he acted with such decorum - I would have jumped over the bar and strangled the SOB!!! I cried when they found him guilty, right along with her father! Thank god, they saw through the BS and gave him the charges he deserved!!!

Cece00 replied:
They let him COLOR? That is absurd. I cant believe her father and family did not make a stink about that. If some piece of crap like this guy did this to my daughter, I would not have allowed him to sit there & color like he was at school or something. growl.gif
