Job Interview - Need some PTs!
MyBabeMaddie wrote: I don't know how I'm going to fit a part time job in my already hectic schedule but Adam is an official dead-beat dad and is off his unemployment - still no job which means no child support. I have my interview at 330 today as a Nursing Assistant at a Skilled Nursing Facility. I'm excited to have some income again but between the 40+ hours I have in school plus homework plus a 16month old I'm not sure how this is going to work out, But I gotta do what I gotta do!
My goal is to put 20% of every pay away to save up so I can get out of my moms house hopefully this time next year.
Mommy2Isabella replied: Hope it goes well for you. Don't stress about how you will do it, it may turn out to be easier than you think once you are doing it all ...
Calimama replied: Good luck on the interview!!
gr33n3y3z replied: You can do it hun Good luck on the interview
grapfruit replied: Good luck! You're a strong woman, I have no doubts that you can do it!
lovemy2 replied: Good luck - it may be alot of juggling but the sense of accomplishment you will have will make it all worth it -
MyBabeMaddie replied: Well I got the job...
Adam informed me today that he got a job (big surprise to me) and that he will be working 2-10pm M-F and they require mandatory OT. My mom works, my dad works, my brother works, my other brother is away at college, Adams dad hasnt seen Madison since she was in Childrens hospital in March, Adams mom refuses to help babysit for me... I had to turn it down because I dont have a babysitter and the only open shift is 3-11pm...
I asked her if I could work weekends, but she said I would have to put in weekday hours, everyother holiday (which would include this X-Mas)
I'm so upset, I was going into the interview thinking that Adam would help with babysitting.... WRONG! I don't even know if I believe him about getting a job, but I couldn't take the job knowing that every single day would be a struggle to find a babysitter. I feel like such a horrible parent, I don't even have money to get her anything for Christmas.
luvbug00 replied: i bet he did it to spite you. sounds like a brad move... any way i had to quit a job i loved because of brad and in time it works out. keep your chin up!
Cece00 replied: Have you looked into getting a sitter to come into your home to watch her?
grapfruit replied: Oh honey I wish I lived closer!! I'd watch her for you no problem!!!!!
Why won't Adam's mom watch her own beautiful darling sweet little grand daughter??@?!?!?!?@?@?$#
Calimama replied: Have you thought about putting her in daycare?
MyBabeMaddie replied: It's only a nurses aide job which doesn't pay well, $8 something an hour, so after a babysitter I'd probably keep like $1-2 an hour...
MyBabeMaddie replied: Thank you, Adams mom won't watch her because she warned us that life would be hard when we first told her I was pregnant, she wanted us to consider abortion or adoption - She "has already raised her 3 kids and doesn't feel that it is her responsibility to help out" she said those exact words...
MyBabeMaddie replied: She is in daycare while I'm in school they close at 6, but the shift is from 3-11...
Anthony275 replied: can't you find somebody doing community service and ask them to babysit for you?
A&A'smommy replied: yikes honey I'm SO sorry!!!!
momofone replied: How did the interview go?
