Jeans for kids - Gap or Childrens Place
moped wrote: I ususally buy Jacks jeans at Gap and i love them. But I was thinking that maybe Childrens Place
I like the adjustable waist on them..........
Thoughts?
KingMom replied: I love TCP, the adjustable waist is awesome. Colin is so skinny, although he's almost 3, he can still wear size 24 months short and I'm thinking the 2t he has will just fit him this fall!
He has a few from the Gap also and they seem to run big, but Colin is just so darn skinny! It doesn't help that he's not too tall either
moped replied: I like Gap because they really fit well - Jack is 3 and in a 4 perfectly - so you think they are comparable to GAP?
luvbug00 replied: childrens place for us. they have adorable washes and i have never had a fit problem with them. But gap usually is too long for mya even though they have more of a style selection.
moped replied: Funny - gap is too short for Jacks long legs!
KingMom replied: honestly I like both Jen but we've been partial for fit reasons to TCP. I usually will be Colin from the Gap if we get them on sale so we'll have to see this fall how the 2t fits him (though he should be in 3t).
Kaitlin'smom replied: I like old navy for jeans for Kaitlin most of those have the adjustable waist. course thats when she will wear pants
momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied: Meg is very tall for her age (at last check 4'6") and very skinny (she is kinda gettin a butt though). Two years ago I went to JcPenny for all of her jeans (they were the only ones I knew about that did the adjustable waist). I spent over $200 in jeans for her and they were on sale. Last year however, I discovered that Walmart now carries a lot of jeans with the adjustable waist and they fit her just as good. I don't like to shop so I tend to stay away from the malls hence the reason I didn't know about TCP and Gap having adjustable waist pants. It is so difficult trying to find pants that can accomodate a siz 8 slim to regular waist and a size 10 to 12 (depending on designer) for length.
Crystalina replied: I only like certain jeans from the Gap. Mostly for Evan.
We don't have a CP where I live.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I would have voted CP last year but the taller and skinnier Matt gets the worse they fit him. His 4T's are to big through the hip and thigh, Regular 4's are okay but not great. the best on him right now are regular 4's that are made by Levi's...I think I got them a Target but dont remember for sure. Last time we tried jeans from gap they were too short for KAty long before we could get them to stay on.
moped replied: Well i am going to Montana soon so maybe I will check them out there - i would just like 2 pair for him...........
Levi's would be super cute!
You think Target has them?
MotherForever2043 replied: I'm a Children's Place fan
luvmykids replied: I buy their jeans at Gap, Old Navy and TCP and honestly, like Old Navy best. They fit exactly the same but cheaper. All three stores have the adjustable waist.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I think we actually bought our Levis at Walmart. Or Sears maybe. They are super cute. I actually buy most of the boys' jeans at Old Navy though. They do adjustable waists now too. And I love how they look like men's clothes, very stylish IMO. I got some for Wesley where they look a little worn in the knees and the bottoms are a bit frayed. Cute!
Wil fits into a 3T pretty well at ON. I have to put the elastic waistband to the highest button because he is super skinny, no tushy...but he has long legs.
moped replied: Ok I am going to check out these otions - even though I am not a huge Old Navy fan at all - so it will CP!
MoonMama replied: I'll have to try those, I LOVE jeans on Brae but usually get them from Old Navy.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Jen I honestly don't remember where I bought them....we have gone through so many pairs of jeans in the last year that I only remember where they came from if the tag has the name of the store.
Cece00 replied: I prefer CP over Gap honestly. Although the jeans at Target also have adjustable waist so sometimes I get those if the fit is better.
I had to buy Ross size 6 for this winter. He is just like 1-2 inches short of needing those (I cant stand "high waters" on my kids...) so I bought those b/c he wont wear them for about 3 months. A 5 is "ok" for now, but they are a little high for my taste when he sits.
Well, the ones from pretty much EVERYWHERE are OK in length but ENORMOUS in the waist...
So I had to buy lots with adjustable waists, I got about 5 pr from CP so far.
Brias3 replied: I've gotten Aliyah a couple of adjustable waist pairs from the Gap. Also, Hanna Anderson has a couple of types with the adjustable waists. It's really nice to have, especially for Aliyah, who is tall enough for the regular size, but needs a very slim fit in the waist.
