Jason has an embarrassing mispronunciation
ediep wrote: When jason is hungry is always asks for snacks or dinner....no matter what time it is. Since I understand him, I don't hear his mispronunciations that much.
The other day he said what sounded like "Mommy, more sex" My MIL said "what did he just say?" I said "he asked me for a snack" she said "uuuhhh, you should be careful where he says that, you may get some strange looks"
He was saying it this morning too when some friends were over for a playdate... they were cracking up!!

I remember when Alec was younger, around 2 or so, he would ask for his boobie when he meant his booties (slippers). After a few times of we got him saying sippers instead. We won't even mention what fork sounds like!
GavinsMommy replied: Oh no, I'd be horrified if he said something like that in public and everyone thought what MIL though! Maybe you should start calling it something different!
Kaitlin'smom replied: ya I to better understand Kaitlin than most people do we had printed some art work off the computer a pumkin and a witch well the witch was missing and she said mommy wheres my well it was witch but it sounded like well you know.....
mommy2owen replied: That is too funny!
ian'smommy replied: We had a situation like that a couple of weeks ago... Ian pronounces kitty as "titty" We always have found it rather amusing. Well one day a couple of weeks ago we went out to eat. We had a teenage girl as a waitress... She was very friendly... We were seated in a booth and just off to the side, above our booth was a tv set. It was set to the disney channel. Well Ian was looking at it and saw a big cat on the screen. He pointed up and said "big titty" just as the waitress came up to see how we were doing.. It appeared to her as if he was pointing at her when he said it... I could have died...
ammommy replied:
I would have died as soon as I stopped laughing. Did you explain it to her?
ediep replied: OMG!!!! Thats hysterical!!!!
ian'smommy replied: Ian's dad was turning red because he was trying so hard not to laugh... It took me a minute to compose myself before I managed to tell her he saw a big KITTY on the tv... When she understood she found it just as funny as we did...

We have a mispronounciation here too... can't quite get the word horsey down pat and he says it with a "P" instead of an "H" and it just so happens he leaves out the sound of the "R"...THAT IS EMBARRASSING!!!!!!!! Although Rick has quite a ball with that one...."Tell mommy that you like horsies" ...and of course he tells me

i had a similar problem when i was little. i couldn't pronounce "fork" for a very long time. my mom had me in a dr waiting room and was showing me pics in a magazine of cake. i got exciting and started shouting my version of "fork" as loud as i could, saying "i want a F-K". my mother was horrified.
