I've decided Kylie and I are leavin' town!!!
coasterqueen wrote: I decided this morning after dealing with a VERY fussy child for the last two days that Kylie and I are leavin' town tomorrow afternoon. Since Ryan can't make it home and our plan was to visit two sets of our friends this weekend, I think Kylie and I will go see the ones from my breastfeeding support group!
I get off at noon tomorrow, I'll go home get some things packed and we'll head down south. I just have to book a hotel room at a hotel with a pool and we'll be set.
I just need to get away and I'm hoping Kylie will be willing to work with me when it comes to the traveling issue, lol. It's only about 1.5 hour drive
So just to let you know I'll be here today and tomorrow morning and then I'm MIA the rest of the weekend! We'll come back into town Saturday (might be around Saturday night) and then we head off to my nephew's baby shower on Sunday that I am helping to host.
Have a great weekend, if I don't mention it to you all before then!

Just a suggestion, but it has worked for us... If you can swing it, try leaving just before Kylie's usual nap time so that she'll sleep most of the way
coasterqueen replied: Yeah, I thought about that. Her usual naptime is around 12:30 or 1 pm. I get off at noon and I still have to pack and stop by a store to get one baby shower gift so I don't think I can make it by then. I *may* try to get Terri to keep her active around her naptime so that she doesn't go down til I get there.
Otherwise I had thought about leaving at her bedtime, but that's not til 7:30 and I won't be able to stay awake for that boring drive, even if it's only for 1.5 hours, lol. And I would love to take her swimming tomorrow night because Saturday morning we may not have time before visiting our friends.
I might just have Terri keep her awake like I mentioned. Good thought Amy!
MomToMany replied: Sounds like fun!! 1.5 hours isn't that long if you leave when she's supposed to nap.
Have a great time!!!
Guest replied: Have fun!!! You're a brave woman!!
Julie (jem0622) replied: I think it's a fabulous idea. And I think Kylie will be okay. Do you have a CD player or tape player? Or a portable DVD player? You could play music or put a show/movie on for her to help pass the time.
Gabe is only good for about 2-3 hrs and then stick a fork in him! LOL.

Kaitlin'smom replied: good for you. mabye also pack some tonight. have fun let us know how it goes.
ediep replied: Good luck!!! I'd start packing tonight if you can, this way you can leave tomorrow closer to nap time! Have fun!!!
coasterqueen replied: Yes we had a dvd player in our van and we'll definately use that, lol.
Kylie is good for about an hour and then she's DONE. But she loves Maisy, so mommy is going to be sure to bring the Maisy DVD's. ROFL.
coasterqueen replied: I'm gonna *try* to pack tonight. I have a load of doors/trim to finish varnishing tonight or else we can't even leave town tomorrow, lol. So my 1st priority is to get them done tonight and if I have time I'll pack, if not it'll have to wait til tomorrow.
CantWait replied: Sounds like a great idea. Have Fun!!!!!

Have lots of fun!
coasterqueen replied: Thanks everyone! I'm pumped. Kylie was awesome last night and this morning (Yahoo!) and we are almost completely packed. We'll leave around 1:30 (hopefully) and Terri is going to try to keep her awake. Kylie is VERY excited to go swimming at the hotel.
AND Ryan told me he believes he'll get to come home Wednesday instead of next Saturday! YAY!!!! Now I'm going to see about taking off that day and Kylie and I will go suprise him at the airport.
A&A'smommy replied: Have a GREAT time! And talk to ya when you get back!!!
