It's time - to get my booty in gear
Liz_Kaitlyns_Mama wrote: Well, I've been feeling baby#2 move over the last week or so, so it's REALLY time to get to the doctor. Gotta make sure the baby is a-okay. I'm making an appointment in the morning so I'll keep ya'll updated
C&K*s Mommie replied: Good gravy, this soon! How far along are you, really? From what I have read, the embryo is far too small to even feel whatsoever.
Liz_Kaitlyns_Mama replied: Well, I first started getting sick before Mothers Day...so.... I know thats what it is, it was just flutters and early this evening I felt it a little stronger.
C&K*s Mommie replied: So how far along do you think you are?
Liz_Kaitlyns_Mama replied: Well, with my past pregnancies I always seem to always get to my first doctor appt. at 6-7 weeks which is a week or two after taking a positive test. So that means I usually start getting sick around 4-5 weeks. So, I remember first getting sick the week before Mothers Day so lets just say I was 4 weeks then. So that would put me at about 11 1/2 - 12 weeks now.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Totally off the subject, I always went by what the u/s and what I was told as to how far along I was. The DD's changed several times during both pg's.
Something I learned recently. If you take the date of your LMP minus 3mos, plus 7days and plus one year. That will give an idea of your DD, which will give you an idea of how far along you are too.
Liz_Kaitlyns_Mama replied: Can't go by that - I haven't had a period since February 23rd of 2005 because of my pregnancy with the twins and then immediately getting pregnant with Kaitlyn. Never had it since.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: boy can I relate... lol I didn't get to the doc's with my 3rd til after I'd felt it move either. But that's because I moved to a totally different area and there were no doctors available.
Also - my first and my last babies needed to be confirmed the edd by u/s... with my 2nd, I knew the conception date...made things easy... and with my 3rd - I knew I was pg even though a blood test came back negative. Lo and Behold, I was indeed pregnant. I felt the flutters early too.

How interesting!
Lucky woman, I guess. I JUST started to feel this baby about a week ago...so who knows. But seriously, you need to see a doc! It's not optional! Especially the farther along you get...
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I agree with Amanda, get to the doc asap....that's what I was told anyway when I first got a BFP. It's important, not a "oh when I get around to it" kinda thing.
My3LilMonkeys replied: This is JMHO - but that all depends on the person, the doctor and the PG. I have very easy pregnancies and with the exception of bloodwork, my visits to the Dr. were pretty much useless for the first 4-5 months. All they did was weigh me, take blood pressure, and check the fetal heartbeat - all things that I could easily have done myself if I had the right equipment.
luvmykids replied: With the twins I didn't get to the doctor until about 13 weeks I know, how can you not realize you're pg that far along .... I knew around 9 but couldn't get in any sooner.
