Its official!
boyohboyohboy wrote: I am now an employed nurse again! I accepted the every other weekend position. I am just not ready to go back every weekend and leave the kids. I havent left them at all, not even with a sitter since my last was born...its going to be an adjustment.
I have to now decide what to do about the kids I babysit....I think I might keep them until the last day of school, other wise the kids are left in a real spot... but with the understanding that if they give me any trouble then they are done..with two weeks notice.
sound ok?
cameragirl21 replied: congrats, Stacy, I am SO happy for you! TBH, I've wondered for quite some time now why you'd prefer to babysit if you are a nurse but I think we may have had this convo via pm.... You are going to love working as a nurse again! As for the babysitting kids, I think you have a great plan in place.
Crystalina replied: Yes and good luck on the job. I know how hard it is to leave the kids and that is why I have not done so yet. Bills must be paid though.
CantWait replied: Every two weeks sounds very ideal for some extra cash and time with family still. You're very lucky to have found such an accomidating position. Congratulations and Good Luck.
MommyToAshley replied: Congratulations! It sounds like the perfect job that will allow you to earn cash and still spend time with the kids. When do you start? Let us know how it goes.
moped replied: Congratualtions Stacy! I think you will come to enjoy a bit of time without the kdis (go ahead, throw tomatos at me) but you might like it, it will a nice little break...........
Calimama replied: Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A&A'smommy replied: congratulations!!!
Yeah I think that is good it will give them a little time to search for someone else and also gives you a quick out if you need it!!
boyohboyohboy replied: Thank you everyone. I feel bad that I wasnt able to take care of these kids who really need someone. I just dont have the patience and what ever it is that these kids need. My last straw was yesterday, the boy who is 5, spent the day wiping his nose on my walls! I caught him and asked him why, he had no answer, and then he showed me all over my entire house where else he had done it! so, I told his mother he wasnt allowed back today...I was hoping it might start some dicipline, but it didnt, it just gave the mom a reason to take off on a nice friday and spent it with her boyfriend.. I know that the well being of these kids will cross my mind, but I just cant be the one to be there for them.
I am kind of excited to throw my hat in the ring again. I enjoy being a nurse. I know at first I am going to be missing the kids like crazy..it will work itself out.
msoulz replied: No tomatoes here, I agree completely! The kids will get some great daddy time too. It will be a testosterone festival at your house every other weekend!
HuskerMom replied: Congrats and good luck!!
CantWait replied: That's completely disgusting, and that would be my call to say no more at all, not even till the end of the school year. It's obvious the parents want no part in their upbringing. Maybe some time with them would open their eyes a bit more.
