It's my anniversary!

I actually decided not to save the top layer of our wedding cake, so I went back to the cake shop and had them make a replica. I am getting hungry just thinking about it!!!

Well, I am supposed to have class tonight but I think I am going to skip it. And my mom said she would like to watch Blakely. So far, I have just commited to making a big dinner, and then we will eat our cake. I was hoping we could watch our wedding video, but I don't know if John will want to do that. But pretty much, we don't have any plans, we are just going to take it easy. John just started his new job today so he will probaly be warn out.

We didn't save the top to our cake either.. we ate it on our one month anniversary because I wanted to eat it before it was freezer burnt.

You know, I've heard that the first year can be the hardest. I think our first year was harder than the 2nd. There was just so much to get used to and it was stressful.
Keep trusting God, keep the lines of communication open and try to put each other first before your own wants and it'll keep getting better.

I remember my first year of marriage as the best and hardest. It is hard to get used to everything at once. Living with someone who has strange habits and bad ones at that. We had children to add to the mix. I was getting used to being a MOM and Wife and step MOM, and that all together I lost myself sometimes.

But I think the first year was hard but also very passioniate (sp?) I think it is a year I will never forget. And my marriage as just gotten better every year!

And every year I find a bit more of myself and him. It is hard work no matter 1 year or 5 and I am sure 10! But we can do it!

Great idea, BTW, about getting a replica top for you cake. I was so excited to eat our since the only bite of it I got at the wedding was from Stephen but a year later~EEEK! Awful!!

yes the first year is so hard..but on top of that girl..you a new husband and a baby to get used to! That's enough to be stressful for ANYONE! You guys have made it thru the first year...it should be much smoother sailing now
