It's me- been MIA for awhile!! - Hi Everyone!

So how has everyone been? Sorry I haven't posted.

I have had a lot of excitement in the last month. I decided to quit my job. I was tired of Accounting. I went to work at the end of June and was in a very bad mood. My boss said the wrong thing to me and I quit. Just like that.

I regreted it for a few days, but DH was very supportive. I was a little surprised since I was the main soure of income. I decided that I didnt want to be doing Accounting for the rest of my life.

I enrolled in school yesterday. I am going to try to become an radiology technologist. Totally different from accounting (i might say). I am really excited about going back to school. I guess you are never to old (hehe). After meeting with the counselors, it is going to take me 2 1/2 years to get a degree and certified. The only problem is you have to go to school from 7:30-3:30 everyday. No night classes, because most of it is labs!!!

After working through a budget with DH, we decided I need to work part time. He started a second job so I could go to school. I have always worked in accounting so I dont know what kind of part time job I will be able to do in the evening. (but Im sure ill figure it out)

Oh i forgot to tell you ("Bubby Bo-bo") my little brother enrolled with me. We are going to do this together!!

Im sure everything will work out. This is more my type of career. I love being around people. As an acountant you dont really get to talk to many people. Just sit in a corner and count beans (hhe)

jdkjd replied: Wow. Congrats on making such a big decision. I actually know several people who do bookkeeping for small businesses part-time. A lot of places need bookkeepers but can't afford a fulltime accountant. Maybe you could put a classified ad in the paper for anyone who needs a part-time bookkeeper...

Congrats to you, too!! That is definatly a different career move, but I wish you the best of luck and hope that all works out for you....
