Today I would like to challenge each and every one of you to tidy up one drawer in your house that is ALWAYS a mess and hasn't been tidy-up'ed in forever!

Yes, you heard me right, tidy up that junk drawer that's always a mess and every time you get in there you can't find a darn thing! It can be a small drawer or a big drawer, your choice.

CAN WE DO IT? YES WE CAN!!!!

I will instead, put away the 4 baskets of clean laundry that are sitting in my living room and pick up the play room before the maid gets here.

Isn't that sad that I have to clean before the maid gets here? So typical of me. LOL

I'd rather have her clean than pick up the clutter though. I think she said she's doing baseboards and windows today HORRAY!!!!

I'm so easily excited these days by the least exciting things.

And yes, I'd become estatic (sp?) too if I had a cleaning person come clean my house. I so miss my cleaning person. DH said I could get one while he's away but I'm going to try to tackle it on my own. I know I'm nuts.

5littleladies replied: You couldn't get me to touch my junk drawer with a 10 foot pole!! Ok actually-that's a really good idea and I will try and get to it but I have to try and get the house in order first. Hubby tried while he was home but things just got out of control.

I really need to do that, and clean out the expired meds.. I am bad about that..

Well DH just cleaned out our junk drawer the other day...only cause he couldn't find what he was looking for!

Due to finding some ants in our closet, I've already started cleaning that out...getting rid of shoes today....

The cleaning lady is awesome. Expensive but awesome. She has a team of three and they do EVERYTHING!for example, last week they cleaned my fridge and freezer. This week, they cleaned the air vents in the bathrooms and pulled the stove out to clean the sides and under it (that was NASTY). Basically they each tackle one large job in "their room" (one takes bathrooms, one does kitchens and the other does the rest of the house) and then they do the regular surface cleaning. Baseboards next time.

Anyway, this is just an example of what a dork I am. She was cleaning K's room and checked the closet to see if it needed cleaning. She said that it was the neatest, cleanest kids closet she's ever seen & she didn't even touch it because she didn't think it needed any work. I positively beamed...BEAMED I tell you! What the heck is wrong with me? She probably thinks I'm crazy now.

Our cleaning team never did all that stuff. Course we were only paying $75 for them to clean once every two weeks. That was hard enough to afford.

I did clean out drawers in my entry hall stand yesterday

acutally I an going through alot of stuff looking for ANYTHING I can sell in our garage sale thursday to help pay for my new entertainment center.

3_call_me_mama replied: SAD btu true.. we have 3 junk drawers.. but DH did 2 of them this weekend so i'm gonna tackle the last one. We are packing to move so it should be done anyways.. and at hte new house I'm gonna see if DH will let me get a house keeper 1/week. Just to keep up with windows and walls and such. At least until MIL moves up here then she can entertain the kids while i do it:)

Side note - Dh was digging around it there the other day looking for something and he was all irritated because it has so much junk in it. Helloooo... it's a JUNK drawer!
It is kinda bad though.

i cleaned out the cupboard under the sink.. washed it out with bleach and soap, patched a hole in the back, relined it and wiped down all the cleaning bottles. was gonna caulk around the edges but the stuff i had dried up .

i cleaned my "Bag" drawer.. washed it out with bleach and water, reorganized it.

today, i am going to tackle the tupperware cupboards wish me luck!
