coasterqueen replied: Good news? I missed something. I wanna know. I leave for a trip this afternoon.
Jamison'smama replied: I'm ready too!!
MommyToAshley replied: Spill the beans!
C&K*s Mommie replied: Good news? I missed something. I wanna know. Here you go Karen, this is what she wrote in a post made by Kimberley on Fri. This is all we no... so far. So spill it, Jeanne.
redchief replied: Heheh... you all are terrible.
I believe she said Wednesday she would tell all, didn't she?
Kaitlin'smom replied: come on what is it?
C&K*s Mommie replied: For a sec, I thought I read her post wrong... but nope it is today.
redchief replied: Yep, you're right... I'm all mixed up this week.
holley79 replied: I wanna know.
jcc64 replied: OK, you goofballs, here it is: In what has to be the strangest turn of events of my professional life thus far, I recently received a phone call from the very same HR guy that fired me 10 days or so ago, offering me my job back. After I picked my jaw off the floor, I was filled with all sorts of conflicting emotions- and my first impulse was to say no b/c I found the whole affair so demoralizing and inhumane, frankly. It's a long, convoluted, extremely boring and complicated story, but the abridged version goes something like this: the corporation which owns my tiny little studio at first planned to close the office in which I work, erroneously believing we are dispensible and easily replaced with employees from elsewhere in the company. When it became obvious that was not the case, they offered HALF of the staff their jobs back. While I have very strong reservations about working for a company that operates in such a ridiculous way (fire first, ask questions later), I am acutely aware of the abysmal job prospects elsewhere in my industry. So, after some prodding from my financially concerned dh, I accepted the job back FOR NOW. Hopefully, after Corey enters full time kindergarten next year, and if dh's job can compensate for the loss of income, I still plan to go back to school full time to become a teacher, which was what I had planned to do before I got my job back. Economically, going back to my job is the right thing for right now, and I need to do what's best for my family, but I don't see myself doing this for the rest of my life. So, I am re-joining the ranks of the gainfully employed, but you may be seeing a bit less of me now that I am doing the work of 4 people during the day. I'll pop in as much as I can, b/c I love you all to death. Once again, thank you for all of your support and well wishes.
gr33n3y3z replied: Oh good I'm glad to hear this And I think you would be a great teacher when your ready to make the move
redchief replied: That's great news Jeanne! I wish I had the guts to go back to school. Good luck and don't work too hard!
luvmykids replied: I wish they hadn't been so ridiculous in the first place but the bottom line is great news! And I agree, you'll make an incredible teacher when the time comes.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I thought that might be it. Sounds weird. I hope you can work it out so you dont have to be there to long. Deffinalty sounds like a shady company. And RUDE. anyhoo glad you got somethign worked out for now.
amynicole21 replied: Well, good... I guess. I hope they gave you a raise
C&K*s Mommie replied: WOOHOO!! That is fabulous news that you plan to go to school to be an educator!
at the company that as you said, fire first, ask questions later
Thanks for the update!
Wishing you very well, with taking on 4jobs as one. Ridiculous that they would think put such a huge pressure on one person, but that is even better that you are planning to become an educator in the BIG picture.
BAC'sMom replied: Congrats! That's great news Jeanne!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I think that's great news, although totally ridiculous on the company's part! Sounds like you have a great plan for the future! Good luck!
holley79 replied: I hope that your child care provider was able to come back to work for you.
Glad to hear you got the job back. I bet you would make a wonderful teacher.

Boys r us replied: JEANNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!! That is FABULOUS NEWS!!!
I'm so thrilled for you guys and woman, that took a lot of pride swallowing but you are so right for going back b/c well..it's a job until you're at a place and time that it suits YOUR needs to not need to be there!!!
Ohhhhhhh I have tears!!! LOL...**disclaimer** Once this baby is born, ya'll don't expect this sappiness from me!
mammag replied: That's wonderful news!!! I'm so glad it turned around for you. I wish you luck in all your future plans though!
MommyToAshley replied: That is such wonderful news! I am sure it didn't take them long to realize what a big mistake they had made. Did you make them beg a little?
I also hope you follow through on becomming a teacher. I think being a teacher is the most important job there is and has the biggest influence on the future. I couldn't think of anyone else I would want to teach my child.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm so glad you don't have that added stress right now. What a relief. But I agree that they went about it all the wrong way!
Thanks for the update!
DansMom replied: Great news, Jeanne! What a roller-coaster ride. It does clarify some issues, though, with laying out your future plans---I guess that's a silver lining to all this craziness.
My2Beauties replied: Congrats Jeanne! I'm so happy for you.
