It's Friday the 13th!!
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: Are you superstitious? Anyone watching scary movies tonight???
Our Lil' Family replied: Oh I totally forgot! Nah, not superstitious here. My mom is coming over tonight since DH is out of town and we'll probably watch a girly movie!!
cameragirl21 replied: I love Friday the 13th and I love the number 13, I can't believe hotels and large buildings don't have a 13th floor! I need no excuse or reason to watch scary movies, I absolutely love them BUT i think the Friday the 13th movies are more funny than scary.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: That sounds like so much fun!! Did you get up with DH before he left this morning? That was so early
mom2my2cuties replied: No i'm not superstitious at all. I guess it's probably because I don't believe in luck.
And no - I DO NOT like scary movies I am a chicken - can't even do haunted houses.
ETA - Oh and Jennifer - it's not just floor 13 a lot of large places don't have. In large cities (Dallas, Vegas, etc) where a lot of out of the country dignitaries come into, and ESPECIALLY Vegas, they have a lot of missing numbers when it comes to the floors. Kind of silly I think - but to each his own
coasterqueen replied: Nope on both accounts. I'll be watching the Cardinals vs. the Mets tonight. Go Cardinals!!!!
Our Lil' Family replied: OH NO! 3 am is WAY to early considering I was up with Thomas until 12! I kissed him goodbye and rolled over and went back to sleep!
PrairieMom replied: I have to work. the 13th doesn't scare me, but a full moon does. All the wacko-s come out when its a full moon.
Our Lil' Family replied: The hotel my BF got married in had a 13th floor. As a matter of fact the majority of the family and bridal party's rooms were on the 13th floor, including their honeymoon suite!!!
mom2my2cuties replied: It is funny - when I worked at the hospital - it NEVER failed that patients were MUCH MUCH more restless on a Friday the 13 as well as on nights that there was a full moon - combine the two - I call in "Sick"
TANNER'S MOM replied: I am not superstitious per say..but I do follow the old wives tales b/c with my luck why take a chance.
Tonight my friend is having a slumber party for her daughters bday.. 10 11 yr old girls..we are watching scarey movies and doign make overs.. I think I will have a few margarita's to be able to stand the giggles..lol
And let them go wild and paint my toe nails.. Heck they might need a drink to touch my feet..lol
I am just joking I would never share with a child..lol
mom2my2cuties replied: Mel - after the morning you had - I think I would be superstious
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I hear ya, Tara. I can totally vouch for that. And babies seem to be born too.
No plans for me tonight. I am still recovering from my 7 on.
Cece00 replied: No & No. DH & I will probably rent a movie & hang out.
moped replied: WOW - so it is!!!!!!
I don't like scary movies - I would sleep for weeks if I watched them.
Even sixth sense made me scared
Kaitlin'smom replied: nope just another day for me, have to work
dunno what is planed for tonight, probaly try and clean the house as we wont be home much this weekend
lisar replied: I am not superstitious. Its FRIDAY to me. Which means I have the weekend off Work
CantWait replied: Friday the 13th. Is that why Anthony went for a nap at 11:00 this morning
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
You kill me
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I dont' mind scary movies, but Sixth Sense was the scariest movie I've ever seen.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I am not superstious.
I started to watch Scary Movie 4 last night, but I fell asleep. So to the second question, it is sort of a "no", since it is not a scary movie, technically. But sorta of a yes since it has the word "scary" in it. LOL
edited: cannot spell
3xsthefun replied: Not really. I doubt we will be watching any scary movies. I don't really like them, I have bad dreams for a week after watching them.
redchief replied: Me too.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: That's funny ~ I didn't think it was that bad, and I can NOT do scary movies. I have to change the channel when previews for horror movies come on.
To answer the original question, I'm not superstitious so the 13th doesn't bother me, and we're going to hang out at Jen's house tonight with some other friends.
My2Beauties replied: Scary movies...well scare the heck outta me. Whenever I even see a commercial for one (especially like the Grudge one, OMG that is freaky) I turn the channel I don't know why I used to absolutely love them and could watch them by myself pretty much. I'm chicken now. DH has to work 2nd shift tonight so I won't be doing anything other than watching the boob tube and Hanna....no scary movies for me Oh and I'm not superstitious either, I'm just glad it's Friday! LOL!
holley79 replied: Nope and probably not. DH is out of town and Annika and I are goign to my mom's for fried turkey.
Crystalina replied: Do you deep fry it? DH will not eat a turkey from the oven ever since he dicovered they can be deep fried. Now he is local "Master" at turkey deepfrying.
I don't consider myself too supersitious although since DH is overly superstitious a bit has leaked over to me. I find myself throwing salt over my shoulder if I spill it. Just little things like that. DH knows what it means if your ears, feet or hands itch. He's a nut.
I worked with Alzheimers for years and their sundowners seems to get much much worse druing a full moon.
As for a scarey movie tonight...only if you call the Ghost Whisperer scary. I'm watching it now with Boo (Izabella ). She loves this show. We don't scare easy.
A&A'smommy replied: nah not really... I'm on here playing so no scary movies for me
My3LilMonkeys replied: Yes, I am superstitious. My office mate & I blamed the 48 tech calls we had to route today (as compared to a normal day when we have between 10 and 20) on Friday the 13th equipment failures!
No scary movies here though - DH isn't home and I am too easily scared to watch them alone.
jcc64 replied: Friday the 13th is my ds's birthday. He was born on Friday the 13th- 11 yrs ago. Happy B-day, Noah!
mom2my2cuties replied: Friday the 13th this year was actually VERY lucky for us!!!
