Italian Charm Bracelets

holley79 wrote: Who here has/ wants one?

I'm just curious as to what people think about them and are they worth giving out as gifts. I have one and enjoy adding new little charms to it.

Anyone else??? dunno.gif dunno.gif dunno.gif dunno.gif

PrairieMom replied: I would love a charm bracelet, but I wan't a regular "jingley" one. I have seen them around here a lot, but I guess I don't really see many people actually wearing them. This is the midwest tho, we are strange here!

Boys r us replied: I have one, but I haven't worn it in 2+ years. I think they're sort of a fad gone by.
They are cute and I did enjoy mine, but I too, prefer the ones that jingle..a traditional charm bracelet!

ediep replied: don't know the dfference....but I do like the jingly ones

kit_kats_mom replied: I never had one but I just saw an article in Real Simple that had a story about hand me downs. One lady received her grandmothers charm bracelet. The grandmother was always receiving charms for things she did and the bracelet was PACKED with them. It was a way to relive all of the memories for the grandaughter and it was a visible symbol of all of the accomplishments of the grandma.
It made me think that I will get a traditional charm bracelet for each of the girls on their first day of school & buy them charms for special things they do. Hopefully it will be a lifetime memory for them.

3xsthefun replied: I got one last Christmas and I really liked mine. I probably haven't wore it since earlier this year though.

3_call_me_mama replied: Kathleen's godmother (who is also her great aunt) has her mothers charm bracelet (which would be kathleen's great grandmother) it is full of charms that she had on it adn Robin has been addin gto it, and it will be passed on to kathleen in a few years. So she will be abel to add to it also 9if there's anby room left!!) So she has a really neat piece of history wub.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Dh bought us both charm braclets for Christmas a few years ago-I love them. I have received charms as gifts now too. It is special to wear it and it brings alot of wonderful memories to the surface when I look at it.

holley79 replied: Well I have the Italian Charm bracelet. For each event I have gotten another charm to add to it. Even when DH has to go over seas he is able to find one. I was just curious as to what others thought of them. I do have a traditional charm bracelet that I leave in my jewelry box. It was my great grandmothers from when her and my granddad traveled all over.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I guess I am a little confused. What is the difference? smile.gif

holley79 replied: The Italian charm bracelet is the flat square charms that link together.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Got it! thumb.gif I clicked on one of the links...DUH...sorry! blush.gif Those are cute and I have seen them in the stores around here! Here is a link for all the moms who said they have thought about buying a traditional braclet for their girls. Tay has one that she loves and they will add links to it as she grows! I think it will be a special piece for her as she gets older! wub.gif traditional charm braclets

Kaitlin'smom replied: I have a charm necklace, I have 4 charmes, woudl LOVE more, but I to if I was going for a braclet for it to jingle

mom2tripp replied: I LOVE my italian charm bracelet. DH got it for me from Tripp last Valentines Day and it has a blue baby carriage charm, Tripp's birthstone, my birthstone, #1 mom charm, and the letter K charm. I think it's so cool, I wear it everyday!

aspenblue1 replied: I have an italian charm bracelet and so does Isabella. I love mine.

Nathansmom replied: I have one, and love it, but I don't wear it often since Nathan pulls and then it pinches me!
That and one of my charms broke off.... sad.gif

I plan on getting more charms though, to replace the broken one, once I go back to work.

My3LilMonkeys replied: My SILs both have the italian charm bracelets and wear them every day. 1 of them also has a charm necklace and it is packed - probably 25 charms on the thing.

I prefer the old jingly type myself.

MyLuvBugs replied: Sorry. Not me. I'm not a big jewelry person.

CantWait replied: I don't have one, but wouldn't mind one. I was going to ask "Santa" for one for Christmas, but I asked for rollerblades instead. blush.gif
