It Just Ain't Right!!!!! - April in Ohio
mom21kid2dogs wrote: This was my poor dogwood tree in all it's blooming glory this morning!! Brrrr
~Roo'sMama~ replied: You poor thing! We're having colder temps again here too but no snow thankfully! The blooms on your tree are so pretty too... I hope the snow didn't kill them!
mammag replied: Oh I know!!! We've been pretty much in the house most of the weekend except going to Jiu-Jitsu. It is ridiculous! I hope my perenials that came up already will be okay. I think it's going to get a little warmer during the week but still looks yucky. I believe we're expecting rain for next weekend.
You'd think we'd be used to it both of us being Ohio lifers but every time this happens I'm in disbelief.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I'm with ya! What's up with spring? I'm in Colorado and we had wonderful weather for about a week now. But today it is raining and I was planning to go in the yard and plant rose bushes. Guess that plan has to change!! I bet it will snow tonight too. I'm just so tired of it...yesterday I was wearing a skirt, tshirt, and flipflops. Errrrghhhhhh. And I bought my DS a kid pool and it's still in the box.
TLCDad replied: Yeah tell me about it. It almost May! I can not remember ever being this cold this late in April. I defintely do not ever remember snow.
gr33n3y3z replied: It is cold here in S. NJ also and the wind is bad also
I hope your tree makes it from the snow
A&A'smommy replied: OMG I just thought it was cold here (this morning and yesterday) but DANG my husband would LOVE that!
mommy2owen replied: I would love to be there right now!
kit_kats_mom replied: It's actually pretty chilly here too. Well, compared to you it's plain balmy but it's dipped into the low 60's at night. I had to close the patio doors because it was too cool in the house.
snoopymom replied: Oh my goodness! It has been snowing here in Michigan too. I think it happened just because it is this poor southern gal's first winter here.
JAYMESMOM replied: Michigan is just as bad. I just hope my baby rose bushes survive the frost sine they have started to bloom. They made it thru the winter so I hope so.
bwalkerletters replied: We got snow in some places of TN last night as well! It was down to 32 overnight last night.
JessC replied: It was 75 here!
mammag replied: Look at you, all rubbing it in..... Hmph that is just not nice.
ammommy replied: I wasn't able to get on Friday night or Saturday because the weather in Indiana was so screwy. On Friday, we had hail storms and tornado warnings with snow/ice storms on Saturday. The weird thing is, on Friday we had hail, but my IL's who live about 2 miles away only had torrential rain we had to get winter clothes out yesterday and today it's going to be in the mid-60's. Go figure!
~KARA~ replied: My poor lillac bush looks all broken now! most of the branches are touching the ground.
aspenblue1 replied: I know I was in shock to wake up to it snowing yesterday. Crazy weather.
My2Beauties replied: Try having a tornado touch down 3 blocks from your house We spent Friday night in the basement of Brian's grandmas house for a while while it all died down! We had some hail the size of Brussel Sprouts here in Kentucky! It's a bit warmer today!
kimberley replied: brrrrrrrrr! sending lots of your way! it is actually cold and rainy here in toronto too.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Heh heh....up here in Canada I'm wearing a T-SHIRT and capris, and sandals outside!!!!
Well not so much right NOW, because it's raining.... but it IS warm....
