Is this really my vacation? - I'm stuck in my old room...
mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: Well, not to complain, I'm in Santa Barbara...but I'm at my parents and staying in my "old" room!!!...the one I played Barbies in...the one where I would have sleep-overs and we would prank call boys to all hours of the night...the one I had "you know what" in when my parents weren't home...and it's sorta freaking me out!! My parents have lived in the same house for twenty-five years and it's so strange to be staying in the same little room...TWIN BED and all...scratchy thin sheets, lumpy mattress...all my old stuffed animals are smirking at me and my toys are thrown about from my three nieces! My mom even has a bulletin board on the wall that has old postcards on it from friends I can't even remember!! I can see the outline of the self portrait I painted on the back of my bedroom door like fifteen years ago...LOL!!! Freaky!! I'm afraid to open the dresser drawers...there will be an old picture of me in braces or a dance team trophy of some sort!!
Tonight we're staying at my sister's...thank god! There's no real point to this post...but I swear I'm having a panic attack from being stuck in this room.................hoping Wil wakes up from his nap so we can scramble out of HERE!!! The beach is only five minutes away...yet I'm on the computer and these walls are caving in on me!!
Insanemomof3 replied: LOL that is funny. I think I would feel the same way. Luckily, my parents live in a different place than where I grew up.
stanleygirl replied: I can't believe your mom kept your room the same, my parents made my room an office about ten minutes after I left. lol
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: My sister's old room is the office/work out room...mine is my niece's playroom!! But yep, still has most of the same old stuff in it! Same furniture...just different comforter.
Just spoke to my sister...she's picking me up in a few hours and we're going to a pool! Yipee!
Kaitlin'smom replied: my dad was measuring for his office BEFORE I moved out LOL

mammag replied: I wish my parents still lived at the same house.... I drive by it sometimes when I'm in that area and it looks so different it makes me sad.

luvbug00 replied: LOL My dad too was in my room planing to remodel it before i come back again. He knew I'd be back.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Sounds like when I go home to visit my parents!
My mother just re did my old bedroom. It actually made me sad to not see the HUGE bulletin board full of memorabilia, dresser drawers full of notes and pictures from high school (no stuffed animals), but the adolescence is gone. I guess it is all a part of growing up. *sigh*
A&A'smommy replied: LOL sorry to laugh but at my parents house I stay in my brothers old room I hope you have fun at the beach!!
ions_momma replied: I know, my parents started puting there stuff in my room as soon as they found out that I was going to move out!
