Is this a stupid gift idea?

I was thinking a couple of those nice streetlight type lamps for the end of the driveway... and a few of those small lamps to put around the edge of the deck...

my2monkeyboys replied: I think it's a great idea, unless they possibly like it dark like that (some people do). I'd hint around about it, maybe say something like, wow it sure is dark out here! And see how they respond. It's a great gift idea to me.
