Is it OK to spank a 10 week-old?

Twelve Volt Man wrote: So, tonight, I sent my wife to bed early so she could get some sleep. I assured her that I'd do feeding/diaper duty. Sam slept from 7:30 to midnight, then woke. He was still half asleep when I began changing his diaper. I learned a long time ago to have the fresh diaper already in place under his bum, so I can make a swift transition between the old one and new. Tonight, as I removed the soiled diaper and prepared to fasten his fresh one, he unleashed a stream of pee on me. I quickly had to make a decision: either replace the carpet tomorrow, or cup my hand over his noodle, and endure the storm. Being a dad, I wasn't phased, and chose the latter. He peed on me for nearly 13 minutes. In the end, I only had to change his diaper, his clothes, my clothes, the window treatments, and the wallpaper. With any luck, the room should be dry in time for his first birthday.

Naturally, I quickly moved into feeding mode, and gave him his bottle. He ate well, and soon drifted off to sleep. He went back to bed easily, and is now sleeping soundly. I, however, am going to scrub off my pee-soaked skin with a steel brush. Melissa can take the next shift.

Perhaps he's a bit young for a whoopin' now, but I'll pay him back for it someday!

Sam & Abby's Mom replied: ROFL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You crack me up - you have a way with words.

Calimama replied: rolling_smile.gif Sounds like you got the fun shift.

redplaydoh replied: rolling_smile.gif Just wait for the explosive poopie blowouts... with or without diapers. If you want good poop stories I seem to have them all... way more than my share. Good call on covering the noodle.

lovemy2 replied: Yes I was quite naive when I had Dylan - come on I thought how far could it really go - he is just a wee little guy..........well suffice it to say that the dining room walls where his changing table is will need a fresh coat of paint soon as well I am sure his bedroom will be a new color by the time he is out of diapers rolling_smile.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Logan got Aaron before we even left the hospital. LOL. I got puked on, but missed the golden showers.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner was notorious for this! Aiden's comes from the other end... dry.gif . When he was on the hypoallergenic formula, it gave him really runny poop. His favorite trick was to leave a stream of runny poop up and down the side of the wall next to his changing table. dry.gif Somehow he always knew when his diaper was off, and it's like a little alarm went off in his head that said "do it now!!!"!

momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied: I am so glad I only have girls. Boys I think wait for you to remove the diaper to pee.

momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied:
Yeah, I had an incident with a friends baby. She said, "Oh, I wouldn't change her on your lap if I were you!" I said I do it all the time I will be fine. Breastfeed baby with projectile poop. She got the wall her brother, my daughter, the floor and all over me. Her mom still doesn't let me live it down and she is now 3.

A&A'smommy replied: oh no lol rolling_smile.gif
