Is anyone from or familiar with Atlanta? - Trying to find info for a friend
luvmykids wrote: I have a friend who may be relocating and is unfortunately going to have to do most of it from a distance. They want to be outside of Atlanta, preferably north but there are so many little towns and small cities that she's just kind of lost on where to start.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
my2monkeyboys replied: My aunt lives in Douglasville, Ga. It's just a bit west of Atlanta. Nice town from what I've seen.
skinkybaby replied: My inlaws live in Roswell. It's just north of Atlanta. They love it. It's a cute little town, with a lot of things nearby.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I have a friend in Alpharetta and a friend in Villa Rica. Both nice areas.
moped replied: Indy windy is from there I think.......
luvmykids replied: Thanks guys, I'll pass it on! She's got until the end of the year but is only going to be able to make ONE trip, probably a long weekend, to house hunt and is freaking out not knowing anything about the area
msoulz replied: My folks are selling their house in Dallas GA. It's a historic town and very pretty.
A&A'smommy replied: my BIL lives in Duluth which is very close to atlanta (he owns a company and a starbucks in atlanta!)
luvmykids replied: What direction from ATL are Dallas and Duluth? Her DH's job will be on the north outskirts.
DVFlyer replied: http://www.city-data.com/forum/atlanta/
Everything you wanted to know.
msoulz replied: Dallas is NW and it looks like Duluth is NE.
kit_kats_mom replied: I have a friend who lives in Newnan. It's where October Road is filmed. Beautiful old small town with a brick paved downtown area. I love her area. But, it is South of Atl. No matter where the lives, she can almost count on at least an hour commute each way. I DESPISE atlanta traffic. I don't really know much about north of ATL, I do know the city pretty well though.
