Inside our house - this is mine
mckayleesmom wrote: Me and LeaAnn were talking about our crappy apartments...and I took pictures for evidence. Don't mind the messes....The mini blinds Mckaylee broke the other day or the dirty handprints going up the stairway...
Living room and Russell
mckayleesmom replied: toy corner...behind the futon and the reason I want 4 bedrooms next time we move
mckayleesmom replied: stairs
mckayleesmom replied: The dining room
mckayleesmom replied: angle from stairs
mckayleesmom replied: Our view... it was raining today when I took these.....I don't need to wash my car now though
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I love your hardwood floors!!! Your place looks charming! Would they allow you to paint a wall for some color? Just a suggestion...
mckayleesmom replied: LOL...wouldn't Martha Stewart have a heart attack?...BTW..it is so plain because most our stuff is in the basement...we are only here a year and we leave in April...Im not decorating for that short of a stay.
mckayleesmom replied: No..they won't let us paint...and the reason the wall by the stairs is still dirty is because if you try to clean it...the paint might come off...the paint the used is really cheap...so I wait for it to get really dirty before cleaning it....BTW.,...those hardwood floors are horrible...they look good in that picture...but in person they are all smudgy...I can't get them shiny...its the glare from the flash...
CantWait replied: Looks like a great place, but I understand about hardwood. Ours looks horrible.
mckayleesmom replied: Ya...I think they forgot to seal ours.
3_call_me_mama replied: brianne your house is amazingly clean! HOW do you do it?? Mine looks liek Toys R us exploded in it. Seriousl there are toys everywhere. I cannot keep them conmtained!!
mckayleesmom replied: If you scroll down...you will see my post about losing power today....LOL....I had nothing better to do....Usually I have toys all over also....but that is not my problem most of the time...Its Mckaylee dragging food around the house and not staying at the table.
redchief replied: I'm so glad you had a good reason to have such a clean house. No house with a two-year-old in it could ever be so clutter-free. LOL
mckayleesmom replied: Oh..it also helps that Mckaylee was in trouble and sitting in her room at the time these pictures were taken.....thats why you only see Russell crawling around.
A&A'smommy replied: WOW that is actually REALLY nice especially compared to some of the places I have lived anyway if you have the time, money and patience it could be fixed up the way you want it!
mckayleesmom replied: We are only here for a year...and half of that is over....we leave in April...there is really no point in decorating it...
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: If you don't mind me asking, where are you moving too next and how many times do you have to move???
mckayleesmom replied: We will probably be moving to Florida......We will be there for a while...3 or 4 years. We really haven't moved that much.....We lived in Minnesota for 3 years....then we came here for a year and then we go to Florida....We always knew this special assignment was only a year.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Well when you do come here to Florida (aka: hurricane alley), I will say WELCOME to you in advance. But be sure to batten down the hatches when you get here, as so many have predicted we will in for a wild hurricane ride for the next aeon or so.
mammag replied: I was expecting something horrendous the way you said it and scroll down to see a pretty cute.....clutter free.....place. It's actually motivating me to go get rid of a bunch of stuff. You'll probably miss the easier cleaning from less stuff when you do move and pull out all the stuff.
I would have done the same and not really done a lot of decorating only to have to redo when you move again.
My2Beauties replied: Girl you should see my house, oh and my carpet is hideous! It has so many stains on it that I could care less about it now. When I move I want hardwood floors, but carpet in the bedrooms. I can't wait to buy a house. But like we were talking about the prices for homes in KY are outrageous. A 3 bedroom 1 bath brick ranch with maybe 1200 sq ft is anywhere from $100-150k - outrageous if you ask me for that small of a home! We're thinking about moving to the outskirts, like Shepherdsville or Taylorsville! Hope you guys have a wonderful place in FL! Man we need to get together again soon then before you move.
mckayleesmom replied: I know...we should go xmas shopping, but I don't have a flippin babysitter nor do I know where the mall is in Louisville.
moped replied: That sounds cheap to me - here you couldn't get that for under $3000,000 or more....................OUCH!!!!!! I wish our house was 150K - this city is booming like crazy and housing prices are going thru the roof!
Can I move where you guys live?
Boys r us replied: 300,000 bucks for a 1,200 sq ft??? OMG!!! My dad owns a construction company and most of his houses are like 4,000 sq ft really super nice upscale houses for doctor's and people with money and they sell for 400,000 or so!
My2Beauties replied: Yes we do. There are so many malls here I'm trying to think of one closest to you, but really there isn't any out in the Dixie Highway area! We'll do something.
My2Beauties replied: Yes girl I'm serious, it is awful! It depends on the area but they can even go for more than that. My mom's house (she rents, but the guy wants to give her the option to buy) is in a really nice well developed neighborhood, suburbs, but her house is one of the older smaller ones in the area. She has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths (very small bathrooms right next to each other in the hallway) It's a ranch style home with less than 1 acre, maybe 1/2-3/4 of an acre on a busy road at that and they want $180k for it My jaw just dropped. My mom said there was no way she would buy it for that much, she wants a bigger house. I mean she maybe has 1300 sq ft at the most! If you go right across the bridge to Southern Indiana you can get so much more house for your money! If you want to live in a nice neighborhood in the suburbs of Louisville, you're gonna pay! It's ridiculous here! We dont' want to move to Indiana because of the traffic over the bridges and the construction but we want to look out in the country, somewhere we aren't considered Jefferson County (Louisville) anymore! I was depressed when we looked for homes before, that is why we were going to move to that one in Indiana, I'm glad that fell through though, we'll be in a better position to get a much nicer house now after all this debt is paid! Hey tell your dad to come build me a home Nichole!
