MommyToAshley wrote: sad.gif I am having such a rough day!

I went to my Neices' and Nephew's show for dance and acrobats last night, but ended up not getting home until around 10:30. Ashley was still awake, so I put her to bed. I thought she didn't go to bed because she missed Mommy, but I think she has some kind of cold. She was up off and on all night, and every time she woke up, she complained about "boogies" in her nose (as she calls them). I would unstuff her nose and put her back to bed, only for her to wake up an hour or so later. She must have gotten up at least 4 or 5 times, and then she woke up again about 5:30 and I tried until almost 7:00 to get her back to sleep with no luck.

Finally, I decided to get up and work since she wouldn't go back to sleep, and then she fell back asleep with Daddy. From there, the day just got worse. This has been the most hectic and stressful work day I have had in a really long time. It started bright and early and I will probably be working 'til 2am. I won't go into details but it hasn't been fun! And, to make matters worse, Ashley picks today to be clingy -- I guess she isn't feeling well.

Then, MIL stops by! Here I am still in my PJ's at 4:00 in the afternoon because I haven't even had time to get dressed. blush.gif Ashley had pulled all of the clothes out of the drawers and had them thrown all over the house. wacko.gif The lunch dishes were still in the sink and on the counter. Ashley had taken her clothes off except for a t-shirt. I must have looked like an aweful parent.

I think I am about to have one of those break downs that only another Mommy could understand! How many more days until the weekend? wacko.gif blink.gif wacko.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: I Truley commiserate with you and offer hugs. Is there any way to put the work off for a day and just be a mom? I know that the days when I feel like I have the most to do are the ones that K usually picks for clingy days. Drives me NUTS but we have to just deal.

amynicole21 replied: If I didn't know better I would swear that today is a full moon sad.gif Sophia has had the WORST day today, too. From the moment she woke up she has been whiny and combative... she refused to take her medicine (antibiotics for ear infection) both times today, and after trying to reason and negotiate with her about it, I ended up having to pin her down and force it in her mouth sad.gif I hate doing that, and it traumatizes her, too. She wouldn't eat her dinner, and had to be in my lap the whole time. She refused to get her diaper on... it goes on and on... DH and I are about to check into the funny farm nuts.gif When will this day end?????

So, in a nutshell, I totally sympathise with you. I hope that tomorrow is a better day... for both of us!! grouphug.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: awwwweeee I am sorry your having a horrible day.... grouphug.gif I hope tonight and tomorrow are better for you.

ediep replied: I agree that it must be a full moon......Jason has been a little out of sorts today too. He was up crying at 4:45am this morning and wouldn't go to sleep unless I was rocking him. Once he fel asleep, I layed him in his crib, only to have him start crying again. That went on until about 6:15am when I gave up and we went downstairs to put Barney on. He refused to eat dinner too. He is kind of stuffy too. I think it may be his 2 year molars.

Anyway, I sympathize with you!! I sure hope we all have better days tomorrow!!!

coasterqueen replied: Aww ((HUGS))) Dee Dee. Sorry you are having a bad day. It must be a full moon though. Kylie was super clingy last night and wouldn't sleep for anything! I ended up getting up at 5 am for good because she wouldn't sleep. *YAWN* The only good thing for me was that I HAD to get dressed because I had to go in to the office for work. Otherwise I might still be in my pj's, lol.

I hope tomorrow gets better for you. Do you think Ashley's teething? This last time Kylie was teething her nose got stuffed up.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: grouphug.gif I've had many a day like the one you have described and I truly sympathise with you. Make sure you take 5 minutes after you put Ashley to bed and just sit and relax. You will feel so much better. I hope your day is better tomorrow. grouphug.gif

mummy2girls replied: AWWW((((HUGS)))) But i have to agree with some because i have had an off day too..jenna was great but me on the other side is another story! It took me half an hour to do jens hair as she was squirming and being a bugger, i bonked my head so many time today, on cupboard doors, shelves, freezer doors, etc etc etc. I found out my cheque i forgot i had sent bounced ...which is wierd because i always right down when i right a cheque...UGH!

bellymonstersmama replied: sending lots of sympathy and hugs.
Annabella is extra clingy b/c her papa is out of town and has been waking up at night all week b/c of a cold. I took her to the doctor today but he didn't do much to help.
Sounds like no rest for anyone today.

Mom2Boyz replied: Lots and lots of (((((HUGS))))) for you wub.gif

I agree must have been a full moon my baby is teething and was CRABBY today!

kimberley replied: ((((big hugs)))) sorry you had such a rough day sad.gif it always seems to happen that way... if it rains, it pours. and i have been there with the messy house and visitors. eventually you just have to laugh about it and not care what they think. you know the truth wink.gif you are a wonderful mommy who had a really rotten day. try to sleep in tomorrow. it will make you feel a lot better. grouphug.gif grouphug.gif grouphug.gif

Boys r us replied: ((((Hugs)))) I can SO empathize with you, hun!!!

I hope you're feeling better today!

A&A'smommy replied: (((BIG HUGS)))) I totally understand! I Hope that today is 100% better!!!

DansMom replied: I think we can all sympathize with the kind of day you're having---it seems like difficulties mount and cluster all together sometimes. There is nothing like the feeling of still being unwashed and unclothed when people stop by, and you look around and see what the place must look like to the person. When you add work headaches, it really is a lot to deal with. I hope MIL was sympathetic! And I hope you and Ashley both can sleep well tonight---things always seem more manageable after a good night's sleep. grouphug.gif

jem0622 replied: One of those days you hope doesn't repeat itself in the near future. HUGS to Mommy. Hope Ashley gets over her cold soon.

Jamison'smama replied: Hope your day was better today---are you getting all this rain? If so, is Ashley getting stir crazyhaving to stay inside? I know that is happening around here. Big hugs

MomToJade&Jordan replied: **HUGGS**I hope that things got better for you today. I had one of those days last week where everything seemed to be piled on me at once. I think I agree with Cary on the take a day to just be a Mom. I know that I have had those days and just decided to be Mom because I knew I didn't have the energy to get anything done. Here are some ~~~~~Weekend Get Here Fast Vibes~~~~~ for you.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: grouphug.gif Those are the kinds of days when you just need to put everything away and focus on your family all day. I'm sorry it was a rough day. I hope Ashley is feeling better! grouphug.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Thanks everyone for the hugs, sympathy, and understanding. grouphug.gif I did read your messages earlier, and it did help! I just didn't have a chance to reply until now.

The week is getting better. Ashley is fine too... it must have been her teeth or a mild cold or something because she was back to normal the next day.

I would have loved nothing more, but part of the reason the day was so hectic is that I got a job in the morning that had a pretty quick turn-around time. I was supposed to get the files on Friday, but didn't receive them until Monday AM and our client had to have it to their client by noon (California time). It wouldn't have been so bad if DH hadn't been in a similar situation... it was crunch time for one of the projects he was working on as well. Otherwise, he could have taken care of Ashley. Tuesday was just as hectic for me, but at least DH could take care of Ashley which made things a lot easier. I do plan on being Mommy the rest of this week though, I've missed all that extra time with Ashley. bawling.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: smile.gif Glad to hear that things are back on track. Enjoy your time with Ashley.

kimberley replied: glad to hear you are going to take a few days with just Ashley and no work. sounds like you both need a break smile.gif enjoy!

A&A'smommy replied: I'm glad you are feeling better and that you are going to get some time with ashley! wub.gif
