Boys r us wrote: Tomorrow I'm giving my SIL a babyshower and suddenly it just hit me..GAMES...I don't have any games lined up!! Help me come up with like two good ones! baby.gif

booey2 replied: You have:
The clothespin game, everyone gets a clothespin and if they say the word BABY and someone hears them they get to take thier pin. The winner is the one with the most pins at the end of the day.

Taste the baby food.

Have 4 or 5 kinds of baby food, let everyone have a taste and see if they can guess what it is.

Fastest diaper changer: self explanatory.

HTH

amymom replied: Embarrassing for Mom-to-be but if she is a good sport, it is fun: Guess how big she is around the waist. Person closest to actual measurement wins!!

Good Luck have fun!!!

My2Beauties replied: We played a game called What do you knowmost about the pregnany lady at my friend's baby shower and it was so neat. They asked like 15 questions about her and gave m/c answers - it ended up that all the answers were "b" for boy because that is what she is having, so if you she is having a boy you could do something like that. We did it for my bridal shower but I didn't have m/c I made them a bit easier, stuff everyone that knows me really well would know!

Kaitlin'smom replied: one game I played for my sister was pass the present, you take what gift your giving and wrap it as may times as you want ( I think I did like 6 or 8) you start the music and when the music stops who ever holds it unwraps a layer, until all the layers are gone the last person to unwrap wins. Just make sure who ever does the music is not watching so it will be unbiast.

Jamison'smama replied: I have a whole word document full of games I would be more than happy to email you---

Some that I have used are--

Famous Moms
Everyone has the name of a famous mom (real or fictional) on their back and has to ask yes or know questions to figure it out--good ice breaker. Names can be Madonna, Barbara Bush, Wilma Flinstone etc.

Write down as many baby animal names as you can---Kangaroo is a Joey etc.

Mom-to-be Trivia game---
ask some random questions of the mom--can be baby related and some not--and see who can get the most right.
------Her favorite children's character, food cravings, nursery colors etc.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: melted chocolate bar in diaper - melt a small piece of different chocolate bars (or bite sized bars) in diapers - fold them over - pass them around and have guests guess what type they are

bottle chugging - if it's couples...or even just the ones who want to - have one person hold a dollar store bottle with nipple of course filled with pepsi or coke - and have the other partner chug - first one to down the contents gets a prize

Boys r us replied: Thanks!! These are all great suggestions!!!

So far, I have one game ready. Her name is Kaelin Tate(the baby to be) and so I printed a piece of paper with her name on it for everyone and the guests will have to come up with as many words as they can using the letters from her name.

Celestrina replied:
laugh.gif Oh, that's good!

5littleladies replied:
We did this one at Sara's shower. It was hysterical! rolling_smile.gif

PrairieMom replied: I have also done guess what is in the diaper, but we used different kinds of baby food. The one with the most right guesses wins!

aacm_mom replied: One more game for you, Nichole...

Beanbag Toss With a Twist

Get some light-colored (white works best, of course) beanbags and write each letter of your baby's chosen first and middle name (have enough beanbags for each guest to fill out the name) in bright-colored markers (if you found out the sex, put pink for girls and blue for boys; orange if you're not finding out). Have a bucket about a yard away from each person. They throw the beanbags and try to get each beanbag into the bucket. After a minute, have people go to the bucket and try to make words out the letters they got in the bucket. The person who makes the most words in 30 seconds wins! If there's a tie, play the game with the people in the tie until there's a winner.

HTH!

MyLuvBugs replied: Go to the dollar store and get pins, q-tips, cotton balls, binkies, teethers, etc. Small items that you can stick in a jar and have people guess how much is in there.
OR
Get a bunch of Clothes pins, each person gets 3 pins, and if someone says key words like baby, Binkie, blanket, Diaper, etc, they have to give up this pin. Whoever has the most clothes pins by the time you're ready to open gifts is the winner. We did this for a friend and put little baby stickers on the clothes pins and decorated them up cute.

Also, make sure you get gifts for the winners!!!

MyLuvBugs replied: Also, if it's a co-ed shower, you could have a game where the guys have to change a baby dolls diaper blind folded. Fastest man wins! That's always fun. Especially if you have them use baby power. lol laugh.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
Lol it was fun too. tongue.gif AND I got all of them right -- a sign I eat way too many candy bars! tongue.gif
