I'm such a clutz!
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: This morning I wasn't quite awake. I walked into Maddie's room to wake her up, went into the bathroom to pee, then started down the hall towards the kitchen to make her lunch when I TRIPPED and fell over the baby gate that was blocking the hall. I was in such a daze it took me a minute to gather myself and realize what I had done. I got up in a hurry b/c it made a pretty loud crash and I didn't want Scotty to come in there and see me lying on the floor. I was too embarassed.
I'm all bruised up now and really sore. It's pretty funny now that I think about it. I can't wait to tell him tonight what happened. He'll get a big kick out of it.
My3LilMonkeys replied:
I'm laughing with you, honest.

kimberley replied: oh no! glad you are ok. i have lots of days like that lately
coasterqueen replied: It's funny, but not really.
I do things like that all the time and Ryan and I usually get a good laugh out of it afterwards.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: OMG, I did that about 2 months ago, that's how I hyperextended my elbow. I went head over heals, hyperextended my elbow and bumped my head on the wall. Aaron rushed over trying to stifle his laughter and asked if I was alright, um NO. Did you break the gate? I did.

kayla's mama replied:
I shouldn't laugh to hard, we just started using baby gates. I'll do it one of these days
~~*Missi*~~ replied: I believe I am married to your secret twin clutz LOL!! I hope that you feel better. That so sounds like something my husband would do and I would laugh at him, sorry. So i am imagining him and the baby gate he has fallen over a million times.... So i am laughing sorry
feel better soon
My husband has NO grace. Last year April 2005 fell in the chruch parking lot (flat no stones no holes newly paved) NOT ONCE twice. They ruled it "black ice" (insurance company ruled it), he herniated two disc's in his lower back. Then Dec 2005 took out the trash and fell AGAIN on nice new no holed driveway and broke his leg in two spots, had to have major surgery to rod and pin it!!!
Since having the cast/fiberglass boot for the broken leg he has fallen down the stairs at least 3 times..... He is the ULTIMATE CLUTZ!!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: Glad that you are okay, as far as no broken anything. Good to hear you can laugh about it now.
All I can say is WOW!
holley79 replied: Good grief you sound like me. LOL
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I'm glad you're ok anyways! I fell over the baby gate we had and the bottom of our stairs when I was pg... the gate was there for the dogs. I caught myself funny on my hand and I'm convinced I sprained my thumb it hurt so bad for weeks and didn't get better for months. I never went to the doctor though - I never do.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I didn't break the gate, but it has been thru the ringer anyway and it a piece of junk. I am really, really sore this morning and had trouble sleeping last night. I tried to catch myself with my hands and I sprained my left wrist...the one with the ganglion cyst. OUCH! It is hurting so bad. And I fell on my right shoulder. My collar bone and shoulder are so sore. I'm sure it will go away soon.
coasterqueen replied: Oh yikes! I wasn't aware you hurt yourself that badly. Hope you feel better real soon.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I wasn't either. Not until this morning. And I haven't taken any ibuprofen or anything. Silly me. I need to get to the store to get some. I took a warm bath and that helped quite a bit. It hurts to lift the kids, though.
Thanks for the hugs.
~~*Missi*~~ replied: ohhhh how are you feeling now??? Take some ibuprofen WOMAN LOL.....
Hope you feel better soon! Don't ya wish ya had a nice jacuzzi to sit in ahhhhhhhh how soothing.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Oh Aimee! I am sorry you hurt yourself! Take some Alieve or something!
3xsthefun replied: Oh,my goodness. Sorry you hurt yourself. I have fallen over the baby gate I don't know how many times. DH has even fallen over it couple times not paying attention to what he was doing.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: The day after any injury is always worse in my opinion. I think the adrenaline from falling masks the hurt. Sorry you got a booboo, Aimee. Hope you can pick up the kiddos again soon, painfree.
