I'm stressed out...

Liz_Kaitlyns_Mama wrote: I'm stressed.

Our cellphone just got temporarily disconnected. Owe $114.
Our housephone will be disconnected tomorrow. Owe $120.
Our gasbill is due Monday. Owe $263.

I'm trying to get through my MT classes so we'll have more $ but it's hard with Kaitlyn plus I'm keeping my lil brother, Will, today and he's walking around telling me that 'he doesn't really wanna be here'. I'm trying to work but he wants to be interacted with 24/7. My 22 year old brother LIVES with Will...I don't understand why he can't keep him and let me work?!? mad.gif

snooze.gif Lazy I guess.

If I can just get through these classes we'd be okay financially. I don't complain to Darrell b/c he works all day everyday and works HARD he just doesn't make that much.

I'm just stressed out bawling.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Can you have a yardsale or something for some extra $$....Sell anything on Ebay? Call the phone company and get an extention?

Liz_Kaitlyns_Mama replied: I don't have anything to sell...the phonebill was due last month and we tried to get up the $ but we had to save for the stupid rent. dry.gif The only reason the gasbill is so high is from the winter-our heat is gas so it got run up.

CantWait replied: hug.gif hug.gif I'm sorry. I know times are a bit tough, but things will work out.

Cece00 replied: Maybe you could borrow money from someone to keep your gas & phone from being turned off??

Liz_Kaitlyns_Mama replied: Well...my dad just sent me $300 for my loan deposit for my MT classes and my mom makes the loan payments every month plus we were $50 short on the rent and she paid it. Darrell's mom has plenty of money but won't give us any. Darrell's dad would but he won't answer his cellphone and even if he does it takes an hour to get there-more gas $. We haven't borrowed money from him since we moved here and I know he'd give it to us but not much... unsure.gif

NikkiM replied: Hugs darlin, I know times get tough... keep your head up and finish those classes.

My suggestion would be to make a list of all expenses. See which ones you can do without temporarily. Internet, cable, cell, phone..... Get rid of the extras for now, when you are on your feet again you can get them back.

JP&KJMOM replied: I would call each one of them and try to make arrangements for partial payments for extensions. hug.gif hope you get it all worked out.

J-rod replied: i know the feeling...my gas bill was $500 for one bill...set up payments with them. call the phone company and make arrangments.....but im sure a priority needs to be the gas....if you have to cook or anything with it...hot water heater etc.

C&K*s Mommie replied: hug.gif hug.gif I would try to get something worked out with your gas company. Something anything. They may be more willing to work out a plan if you can get some kind of money to them.

I would also see what you can do without. Get rid of the non-essential things.

lisar replied: hug.gif It will work its self out in the end.

J-rod replied:
agree...i got rid of Dish network TV. bucnh of crooks. told me i get local and didnt. said i got to pay them $400 to cancel...so i stopped paying them....now i send the stuff back...pay what i owe them and its done. cool.gif

new house is closer to city limits and can get cable.

best luck to you...let us know how it goes.

Bee_Kay replied: Does your city/county offer any financial aid for big utility bills?
A woman I know had a $900.00 gas bill and she contacted social services and it was lowered down to like $500.00. Just a thought. hug.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Do you qualify for any kind of public assistance?

b&bsmom replied: I am right there with you, I ran out of checks and need to pay car ins and rent and I don't have enough to cover the rent. Plus I need to write a check for Brit's horse pics for camp and also need to pay kohls on friday.

I know how you feel. Hang in there at least you see the light at the end of the tunnel. hug.gif

Liz_Kaitlyns_Mama replied: I did make a payment arrangement for the gas bill and was supposed to pay $138 by this past Monday but didn't have it. So now I will never, ever qualify for an arrangement again and have to pay the total amount alltogether. sad.gif
I called the Red Cross and they said they won't be helping with bills until next month.sad.gif
The phones we can definately live without (even though its a pain) but, see, I have to have the cable b/c I can't have internet without it and without internet I can't do my classes:(

youngmomofone replied: I know how you feel. We are going through the same thing right now. I tried cutting the internet off, but dh wouldnt hear it.

luvmykids replied: hug.gif Hope things get better soon, financial stress is the worst kind (for me anyway) but most of us have been there, and it sucks but you guys will be ok. Hang in there, how are your classes going? How much longer do you have?

TheOaf66 replied: I think we have all gone through that one way or another...I know how you feel
