I'm starving!

ammommy wrote: Can someone take my mind off of my growling stomach? Today is a fast day so I've only had half of an apple (had to take some medication) and a ton of water. Just a few bites of tomato salad this afternoon and some orange roughy with rice for dinner.
I'm going to need to buy some Dexatrim to get through Lent wink.gif
Come on, someone show some pity for me, please bawling.gif

fashionmumofboys replied: You can do it. Mind over body.

Maybe think about getting a nice massage, manicure, pedicure instead of thinking about food.

Good luck. hug.gif

ammommy replied:
Oh, I wish. Unfortunately, it's housecleaning day because Mom is coming for a visit. At least dinner isn't a crockpot recipe so I won't smell it all day laugh.gif

salmndr007 replied: What exactly did you give up for Lent? Food in general? tongue.gif Good luck. I wish the best for you and I know you will get through it with flying colors.

ammommy replied:
laugh.gif No, just today and most of Holy Week tongue.gif
Dinner is in only 4 hours thumb.gif

coasterqueen replied: I was going to ask what you were giving up for Lent too? happy.gif I couldn't completely fast, but I do give up one thing that I really love that I usually eat every day.

ediep replied: well, you are doing much better than I am....I read in the church bulliton that Ash Wednesday fast includes 2 small snacks and 1 real meal but no meat.

I asked my Dad (deacon at our church) if cereal is a meal and he said no, its a snack. soooooo, I had cereal this morning, a small cup of minestrone soup for lunch and I am having a veggie burger for dinner.....

I am dying for a munchie right now

I think for Lent I am giving up soda

ammommy replied: For Lent, I am giving up my Starbuck's trips. Then I'm taking the money that I'd spend there and give it to our Church's outreach program.

holley79 replied: ALl I can do is offer up a hug.gif I'm SO sorry. You will make it I have faith in you. I have no clue about lent. How long does it last?

mom21kid2dogs replied: We've been staying outside mostly today. It helps keep my mind & my hands out of food! I almost blew it when I got my mail though. My stuff came from Addicted To Scrapbooking and they stuck in 3 pieces of hard candy. I unwrapped one, almost had it in my mouth and then went "Oh, yeah!" rolleyes.gif I should give up coffee~now THAT would be a sacrifice (not only for me but all who know & love me!!)Good luck! thumb.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif give yourself a big pat on the back tomorrow, for making it through today (which you will). thumb.gif
