I'm so disgusted. I have ringworm.

I guess that what it was instead was ringworm, and now I have a patch on my face I had to go buy the cream you use for jock itch and athlete's foot! I feel so vile. There's a big red blotch right on the side of my face - totally visable. If it's still here by the time my sister's wedding rolls around next month, I'm jumping off a bridge.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: OH NO!!! It should go away soon-lots of my friends kids have had it-it is in the dirt down here...It is NOT really a worm btw,it is a fungus. If the baby had it in her scalp be careful that is THE WORST place it can be and it will cause them to lose their hair in big bald patches! Check any animals(especially cats) for possible infection. You can get it from them. I hope it heals up fast! Another one of those lovely childhood(mostly) yuckies!
amynicole21 replied: Yes, she did lose some hair. It's not too noticable since her hair is still pretty thin. Poor baby
C&K*s Mommie replied: Good luck with getting the fungus cleared up!!
These are some things that I did not know. You really learn something new everyday!!
Freckled Momma replied: Please don't feel vile!!
I'll tell you our ringworm story...
We were like married maybe a year and living in our first house. I had 2 cats at the time that decided to give us some babies...Well, my momma cat had her babies (6 I think)...houseful. My wonderful husband in all his wisdom discovered a lil scraggly kitten outside our house one evening and brought it in. He was feeling sorry for it, so it joined the family. A week later maybe (they all lived inside with us) we all had ringworm from the new addition. ALL THE CATS AND US TOO!! NOT just ONE spot, but ALL OVER OUR BODIES,faces too! IT WAS HORRID!! My husband had it worst, though We had to bathe those cats TWICE EVERY DAY in Iodine. PLUS doctor ourselves with Blue Star ointment, day and night. Goodness, it was awful... That stuff stings
SO...now, do ya still feel vile?? And the other poster was right...it's a very common infection to contract.
Good luck on yours going away soon!!! Sorry your lil one had it!
MamaJAM replied: I hope the patch on your face fades quickly.
ediep replied: nah, it'll go away in no time with the cream. I have had it twice...I think I got it from the gym weights, becasue I don't have cats
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Jade had ringworm once right before she turned one. It was on her wrist. We are pretty sure she got it from the dog. I had to go buy that fungus stuff and put it on every night. Don't feel vile. The cream should get rid of it quickly.
luvmykids replied: I know with a wedding coming up it's a double whammy, but I've had it a few times and it sucks but it should go away quickly. So sorry!
CantWait replied: Hope it clears up quickly
CosmetologyMommy replied: Hope u feel better! Also be careful, you can get ringworm from putting bobby pins in your mouth, you know if you are trying to open them.
DansMom replied: That really stinks, Amy! I would be feeling pretty unhappy too. Heal quickly!
Kaitlin'smom replied: why do they have to give it such a creepy name?
hope its healign fast for you.
jem0622 replied: Sorry to hear this! If it is still noticeable on your face then consider Dermablend. Very good for hiding imperfections!
HUGS
My2Beauties replied: Oh man that stinks, but don't feel vile, plenty of people I know have had it. I've never contracted it, but I'm sure our day will come in my family once Hanna goes to school and stuff. All of the good sickies are yet to come
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I bet it will be gone by then. It usually doesn't hang around too long.
fashionmumofboys replied: I'm sure you will be fine by the time your sister's wedding rolls around.
jacobsmama replied: I"m sure it will go away soon
kimberley replied: oh no! hope it goes away b4 the wedding.
